What's new

India adds one Pakistan to its GDP Year-On-Year

pointless article on scratching the surface of economic stats.

India is several times larger than Pakistan in terms of geography and population
AND
Pakistan has been involved in conflict since Soviets invaded Afghanistan

Take those in account .. and things would come to balance.

Well no body asked you to keep getting involved in wars. You guys made us go to war as well in Kargil.

Kargil doesn't measure up; it was a few month affair

We didn't want to go to wars; it is just that we are located in a place which is too useful
for others.

Finally we are learning to use that to our own advantage.

see, these number game doesn't interest me at all, I have no interest in seeing India as some mighty super power in the world. We as people just need to focus of uplifting ourselves out of abject poverty, eradicate hunger, provide good meaningful education as a fundamental right to every child, basic facilities of health care and reduce income equality. These numbers game of PPP/ GDP/GNP - whatever they might be are nothing to brag about.

Dude
Don't go all chinese on Pakistani pdf members.

We have a reputation to hold.

LOL what does China have to do with this?

We are nowhere close to being a superpower like India is, so you are way way ahead of us:

India to become superpower by 2012: President Kalam - Economic Times

We won't be a superpower even in the next few decades, so don't compare yourselves with us.

LOL sure, just don't read any of the International news coming out of India at all.

But according a pdf Chinese think tank, India is "poorer than the entire continent of Africa", so how we be a superpower?

(Of course the think tank never mentioned any academic source to back up)

India's GDP crossed $8 trillion. | Page 7

We won't be a superpower even in the next few decades, so don't compare yourselves with us.

Well said, Indian members like @Dungeness , @Jlaw and @AndrewJin should take your advice seriously and stop creating threads like these

How many years will it take for China to add another India's nominal GDP? 3, 4 or 5?

That's a naive argument.
Who asked you to involve in those conflicts ?
Even India got lot of invites to take part in anti-terror wars the US and Russia spearheaded but we cautiously turned them down keeping in mind our future. Your statesmen did not have that clarity and resolve. Who can should you blame for that ?

when u go 2 india u see 3rd world infrastructure many shacks and plenty poor people. u can add 20 x pakistan economy every year but most of ur people still live worse than average pakistani

To be honest you are in a good enough place if you can utilize that to develop your economy. You got energy rich central Asia to your west and a huge 1.5 billion market of India + Bangladesh +others on your east. Its just priorities

.
This is a stupid thread which repeats the facts like a loop.
India is stronger than Pakistan, so what ?
Just put these arguments to rest and work towards improving our country.

I don't know how you guys reconcile these two facts:

India to become superpower by 2012: President Kalam - Economic Times

And:

'More poor' in India than Africa - BBC News

The latter is from the UN Human Development report.

Two realities at the opposite ends of the spectrum.

Well said, Indian members like @Dungeness , @Jlaw and @AndrewJin should take your advice seriously and stop creating threads like these

Why are you crying about these members to me for?

All of them are very good members. :enjoy:

Wrong,

India OFFERED with heart soul and where the sun don't shine to be the staging ground of the US anti Afghanistan operation.

It was US which turned it down.

History !

Ahh finally you provided the proof from 2010, which first of all is not outdated at all compared to my sources of 2011. :enjoy:

Second, the report states:
Eight Indian states account for more poor people than in the 26 poorest African countries combined, a new measure of global poverty has found.

Since India is made up of only 8 states not 29, and Africa is continent of 26 nations, not 54.:enjoy:

Combined the 2 above fact the great pdf Chinese TT logical conclusion: "only country poorer than the entire continent of Africa" :china:

My below analysis is no match for the above brilliant pdf Chinese TT logical conclusion :D

@Ivan, @Echo_419 ,@gslv mk3 , @Nilgiri @Srinivas What do think is the reason some pdf Chinese members (a TT in this case) to redundantly spread this lies
1. Is it because of poor data interpretation skills?
2. Is it perception of racial superiority over Africans?
3. Inability to come in terms of reality due possible mental agony over some rigid Indophobic beliefs?
:D

For the year 2012 % of Africans living in poverty is :43%

While Poverty in Africa Has Declined, Number of Poor Has Increased

As per 2011 % of Indians living in poverty is :21%

Poverty & Equity Data | India | The World Bank

Population of India for 2011 - 1.2 billion, Hence people living in poverty 1.2 *(21/100)=250 million (approx)

Population of Africa for 2012 - 1.1 billion, Hence people living in poverty 1.1 *(43/100)=473 million (approx)

World Development Indicators-Google Public Data Explorer

But according to some pdf Chinese math - 473 million < 250 million which will remain an enigma for long.

Why are you crying about these members to me for?
I am not crying just stating, those members should follow you ideals

All of them are very good members. :enjoy:
Very great members indeed, who pdf bans regularly, how very unfortunate :frown:
I guess by following your logic, they will not get banned anymore.:)
