India abstains on UN resolution that condemns Russian invasion of Ukraine, explains move

You Indians are fed so much garbage by your media that you cant even see the realities of todays world. Wake up sunshine! :D
It looks like you don't even need to be fed garbage ,you will have it anyway.
What has come out of Imran visit and any agreements, he had to cut short his visit and come back and you guys see good in it.

Hate to break it to you the opinion of the RAND think tank is hardly reflective of what the US political establishment thinks. Yes they talked of a distinct relationship you have with Russia but things have become harsher now and will continue to do so. There's no middle ground with them, regardless of how much they want you to face china.

Here;

U.S., India cracks? Biden says talks on Russia 'unresolved'

Asked if India was fully in sync with the United States, he said: "We're in consultation with India today. We haven't resolved that completely."

In a statement, the U.S. State Department said U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken spoke with Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar on Thursday and "stressed the importance of a strong collective response to condemn Russia's invasion and call for an immediate withdrawal and ceasefire."

That being said India has shown to be a friend at Russia's time of need.

I believe that US/West will still keep India in their anti-China loop. This is their compulsion, and India knows this.

Not sure with Biden in charge, his hatred of Russia goes well beyond China (look at his personal history), which frankly he's not so concerned about.

I would disagree, Nato/US has more to lose by damaging ties with India than India has with damaging ties with them.

India will slip back about half a decade, but US would have surrendered 20 years of diplomatic manoeuvring and the Indo Pacific theater in perpetuity.

You can disagree that's fine but it's not reality. NATO doesn't figure India into their plans, it's a Russian bulwark. There is massive disparity regarding opinions on China and many European nations don't see the nation as a threat, unlike Russia.
The US won't disengage but will become cold for a while.

Proves my point, another Indian keyboard warrior who doesn't know jack about last 1000 year history of India

Summary of last 1000 years, India conquered and ruled by Muslims and locals giving their women to the conquerors to climb political ladder

Read some history before embarrassing yourself

That's exactly what I meant :) But Indians are taught something very different in their history books...

Bajwa's perspiration and knee trembling episode.

If Bajwa was trembling then the Indian military leaders would been peeing in their diapers …

Just FYI the PAF chief wanted to attack india all out …. You are lucky IK was prime minister

I agree.

I dont think the QUAD will survive this event - AUKUS was a serious nail in the coffin of the QUAD and this event will be the last one - alot of commentators and politicans have made reference to the Indian vote and how it was unexpected. If India cannot take the hard decision to align itself with members of the QUAD - then will it do so when the time arises against China - chances are no - and if the answer is no - then why bother providing all the economic aid to "build up India" thinking it has any value against China.

People are more concerned with the raging lunatic in moscow that has directly threatened and bombed Europe for the first time since WWII - rather than "a made up threat" that is thousands of miles away and has not fired a single bullet towards/against the west or europe or challenged directly anything anywhere. China was a manufactured threat - and it is no longer required as a manufactured threat as there is real one now.

Russia will a big loser from this episode as well as India - China is a winner from this all - just by sitting in the corner and laughing their asses off. China just took a dozen steps down as a threat and therefore the utility/usefulness of India is not there.

I can see Biden "not forgiving" India for this vote - by thinking alot lot more about the CAATSA sanctions that he can apply to India to let them know he is not happy and the American establishment is not happy.

We are ok with it. If the US wants to sanction us it will. Won't be the first, won't be the last.

India's geopolitical interests will be better served by a truly democratic set up in Russia. Russian preference for strong man authoritarian government will continue to present all sort of challenges to India.

US will not sanction India in a way that will harm India's capability to stand up to China. US did not enter Ukraine to fight against Russia because it would have opened an opportunity for China to attack Taiwan. The NATO alliance has now given clear indication that Russia is not the primary threat even if Ukraine falls (which will likely happen if the conflict should continue).

Pakistanis are just making theories about western sanctions against India because they are not thinking from the perspective of what is in the best interest of the western countries. It is just shallow thinking. The worst that can happen to India is a wrap in the knuckles from US and EU.

Indians in my opinion should worry about where Russian loyalties will lie with respect to India vs China. I'd wager that the current Russian administration is too reliant on China; they don't have any prospects of normalization with the west.

In response to the resolution Indian expats and students in Ukraine are getting tortured, physically assaulted and racially discriminated by the NATO-Nazis, because Indias government merely stayed neutral.

Indians assaulted by NATO-Nazi forces

Indian students tortured

Indians blocked from escaping Ukraine

You think that will be a wake up call for the more than abundant Nazi and NATO worshipping Indians still kissing sars butt? Im not counting on it but there is a chance that the aussaults wont be completely memorholed by next week due to hard and soft censorship in American media and silence of the Indian governement to demand safety of its nationals from Ukraine.
