India — A Failed Experiment

It does not matter. You are supposed to manage a bigger country with supposedly a better and far more qualified team chosen from the larger population, which is not the case now in India unfortunately.

Despite having three times the population density, Bangladesh remains a far better managed entity.
  • Annual population growth rate in Bangladesh is lower (1.02%) vs. 1.14% in India.
  • Life Expectancy at Birth is far better in Bangladesh for both males and females (73.7 years) vs. 69.1 years in India.
  • Total fertility rate (number of children born to each woman) in Bangladesh is way lower (2.15 children) vs 2.4 children in India.
  • Contraceptive prevalence, any method (% of married women ages 15-49) - Bangladesh is 63%, India 54% (2016, latest available from India).
  • Despite spending 3.8% of GDP for education (vs. 1.5% of GDP in Bangladesh) - Indian rate of literacy is not dramatically better.
  • Real GDP growth rate is way better in Bangladesh (7.4% vs. 6.8% in India).
  • GDP per capita nominal is better than India ($2503) vs. $2277 for India (2021).
  • COVID-19 cases per 1 million inhabitants was far lower in Bangladesh than India (11,702 vs. 30,851). Covid was far better managed in Bangladesh than Indian clusterf*ck situation with millions dying (uncremated dead bodies floating on the Ganges) and major vaccine maker (serum institute) not delivering PAID VACCINE SHIPMENTS TO Bangladesh within delivery time period. If you could not deliver - then why did you take the millions of dollars in work orders - ingrates? The Chinese finally delivered as usual. Thanks to China for coming through, they always do.
So - yes if India fares worse than Bangladesh, which itself is a third world country 1/8th of India's physical size and economy, then what do you call India - a fourth world country? Wouldn't be far off the mark.

All valid points. It just shows our political elite to work smarter and learn from BD. One thing that puzzles me is low women participation in workforce in India.it is an enigma and needs to be addressed.

very true about the posters here from India, behaving same way the article portray the picture of the country.

the problem is not only they are even worst at present of what is explained. bigger problem is they deny everything by presenting themselves entirely opposite of what they are to the world.

they raise the slogan of shinning India and they are stick to it. "literally, they are stick to it" and that's all about it.

2/3 of Pakistan is under water you fool and still you have the audacity to talk about 🇮🇳
You vishavagurus had a HOLOCAUST

The water in Pakistan will drain, how will you get millions of dead Indians back because of your own stupidity

Honestly you idiots have your own nightmares in your communal shithole and your worried about Pakistan 😂😂

65 percent of Pakistan's main food crops—including 70 percent of its rice—have been swept away during the flood

Don’t worry, they’re a very rich country, average Pakistani is richer than an average Indian, we should learn from their successful economic model because of which they’ve been able to get 23 bailouts from IMF while failed state India only once.

.
Calamities anywhere can’t be celebrated. India too is prone to its own natural disasters that strike various parts every year. Sadly the lowest strata of the society are impacted the most by these.
The rich ones have means to move on. Recently super rich people in Bangaluru lost homes and expensive cars to floods. Most of them moved to swanky hotels and would be able to restart their lives much easily.

I wouldn’t celebrate any disaster anywhere. My prayers for those who have been badly affected by floods in Pakistan.

As far as this thread goes, it is a complete BS.

The failed Indian state is in a much better condition then successful experiment called Pakistan. The successful Pakistan state that couldn’t keep itself in one piece because religious identity which was root of its existence proved to be a farce.

Progress has been slow for India - but Failed?

“Sahb, The Guardian paid Godi media sahb” incoming
In 🇨🇳 once CCP decides to build infra & it passes through your house, your house goes down. No stay orders allowed; you can’t even own land there! 70 year lease is the norm for property owners subject to govt norms.Try bringing in drastic reforms like China , whole country wud burn. Try stopping such reforms in China , they'll bring tanks against agitators. That's the difference.

Want 🇮🇳 to go that way? Will Indians give PM Modi Xi’s power?

We are slowly getting there but so many pushbacks and bottlenecks on the way. For now, India should embark upon major infrastructure upgrades like what the US did post world war 2 for their road connectivity and what European countries & Japan did for their railway infrastructure

Why you quote me, do you really think I care about India's economy?
