বাংলাদেশের বিরুদ্ধে তৃতীয় এক দিনের ম্যাচে আম্পায়ারের সিদ্ধান্তে অখুশি হয়ে অভব্য আচরণ করেছিলেন হরমনপ্রীত কৌর। ভারতের মহিলা ক্রিকেট দলের অধিনায়ককে শাস্তি পেতে হয়েছে তাঁর আচরণের জন্য। সমালোচিত হয়েছেন হরমনপ্রীত। মহিলাদের ক্রিকেটে বিশ্বের অন্যতম সেরা ব্যাটারের ওই আচরণে বিস্মিত বাংলাদেশের অধিনায়ক নিগার সুলতানা।
নিগার সে দিনের ঘটনা নিয়ে বলেছেন, ‘‘বিষয়টা শুধু খেলার মধ্যে সীমাবদ্ধ ছিল না। সেটা আমাকে বেশি অবাক করেছিল। হরমনপ্রীত মহিলাদের ক্রিকেটে এক জন কিংবদন্তি। আমার দলের ক্রিকেটারেরাও ওর দিকে তাকিয়ে থাকে। ওর মানের এক জন ক্রিকেটার কী ভাবে ওরকম আচরণ করতে পারে! আমরা ওকে দেখে শুধু অবাক হইনি, হতাশও হয়েছিলাম। বিষয়টা আমাকে কষ্ট দিয়েছে।’’
আম্পায়ারিং নিয়ে তৃতীয় এক দিনের সিরিজ়ে হরমনপ্রীতের অভিযোগও মানতে পারছেন না বাংলাদেশের মহিলা দলের অধিনায়ক। নিগার বলেছেন, ‘‘একই আম্পায়ারেরা টি-টোয়েন্টি সিরিজ়েও ম্যাচ পরিচালনা করেছিলেন। সেই সিরিজ় ভারত জিতেছিল। সেই সিরিজ়েও যথেষ্ট হাড্ডাহাড্ডি লড়াই হয়েছিল। দ্বিতীয় ম্যাচে আমরা আরও একটু ভাল খেললে জিততেও পারতাম। তখন কিন্তু ভারতীয় দল কোনও অভিযোগ করেনি আম্পায়ারিং নিয়ে। ওরা জিতেছিল বলেই কি অভিযোগ করেনি? খেলোয়াড় হিসাবে আমি মনে করি আম্পায়ারদের সিদ্ধান্তই চূড়ান্ত এবং তাঁদের সিদ্ধান্ত সম্মান করা উচিত। তৃতীয় এক দিনের ম্যাচে ভারত জিতলেও কি আম্পায়ারিং নিয়ে ওরা এত অভিযোগ করত? ওরা সিরিজ় জিততে পারেনি বলেই হয়তো আম্পায়ারিং নিয়ে ক্ষোভ প্রকাশ করেছে। হতে পারে হতাশার থেকেই এ রকম করেছে হরমনপ্রীত।’’ ভারতীয় দলের অধিনায়কের সেই আচরণ এখনও বিশ্বাস হচ্ছে না তাঁর।
