you know Indians don't know the ground reality! Hundreds of people every day cross indo-bd border! For example - in some place Bangladeshi kids go to indian schools and in another places indian kids comes to our side!! Both BDR-BSF ignore such movement!!! However, they keep an eye on smugglers, not because its their duty, but its profitable! They get enormous share of the profit!! Shooting happens only when those smugglers try to avoid BSF members to save their profit! Only cow smugglers are killed because sneaking with cows is hard job in a silent border!! But if they give money they are safe. Thousands of cow enter in this way!!

The same you have been saying for years but over the years India has only grown strong economically and militraily.
BD is where India was in 60-70s, during those times our goverment main thrust just like yr present govermsnts was on poverty elevation programmes. That' why it has BD is showing better results on some socio parameters. What will really pull people out of poverty is not what goverment is doing but what India is doing and what china has done.
Fleeing Pakistani setting some sweat shops does not indicate any economic renaissance. And if you are banking on China then you need to learn from Pakistanis have they been able to help them in anyway economically.

Even with our huge diversity and despite the fact we are democarcy( where every one is free to do whatever he feels like doing) and without ignoring the fact till late 90 we had whole of West, Muslim countries and china working against our interest we have managed to stay united and now with things going our way the chances of us failing look absotuley minimal.

The goal then is the surreptitious but incremental secularization of Bangladesh and if possible ultimate Sikkim-style incorporation of Bangladesh in the Indian union.

You might find this very hard to believe - but no Indian wants to incorporate BD into India. BD has very very little resources, very little land, and very very highly populated. It would be a net loss of India were BD to join with India.

So..in answer to your statement. No. No one is trying to make BD join India. Everyone is for making BD remain an independent country.

But make sure the Jamatis dont turn BD into another state like Pakistan.
