Independence Day in Quetta —Shaukat Qadir

No discussion of Baloch would be complete without drawing a parallel to Kashmir by Indian Members. But One must agree that there are similarities when you get down to the nitty gritties of Flag burning/hoisting and threat/murder of Govt Servants etc etc. What is your call on this!? Setting aside nationalism, Do you really think that the Central Govt in Pakistan is not doing enough for this province? I would equate this more to the Naxal belt in India rather than Kashmir though.

Wow! Very cleaver indeed.

How you can couple a historical problem like Kashmir with Baluchistan where a nationalist insurgency is going on. In Kashmir there is no insurgency it is an unfinished agenda of Partition of Indian Subcontinent. 3 out of total 4 wars fought on this issue. UN resolutions are there on issue. Do you still see Kashmir same as Baluchistan?

we know involvement of India in this mess specially after the US invasion in Afghanistan and now this matter with governments of both countries at PM level. I think you are well aware of agreed joint declaration signed by both PMs.

Baluch are very pro-Pakistan. It's only the opportunists on indian payroll who get the attention. The leader of the seperatists is living (hiding) in Afghanistan with local protection. They are powerless people.

That said, we need to give first priority to improving the lives over there. Give them jobs and give them greater control to their resources. They have potential to blossom, given the resources and the small population.

Afghan refugees should not be allowed into Baluchistan, as they can create disturbance of peace.

The human-traffickers, drug-smugglers and criminal elements should be met with iron fist.

Long live Pakistan.

p.s. "Jundollah" is not a Pashtun organization. It is an Iranian Baluch movement. Abdol Malik Rigi (the leader) is an Iranian Baluch. They are a terrorist organization and should be treated thusly.

.
the only baluch who are anti-pak are the "sardars" who want to perpetuate their rule over the poor people of baluchistan!

.
yes.

they are feudal 'lords' who make the people bow down to them. Astagfarullah.

They are the reason why Baluchistan is under-developed. NOT just the government.

If you look at ground realities, you will see that Hazara and Pashtun areas of Baluchistan are more developed. But the Baluch areas tend to be more backwards because of this crooked 'Nawab/sardaar' system they have.

We must bring in the economic packages and invstment so that these nawabs will be forced out of business. They are real mother f****ers
