The people of Dera Bugti are connected in a cultural fabric that spans south west Punjab and Multan (with big Baloch tribes settled there in their millions, and in Northern Sindh )

The city of Taunsa, in Punjab, near Multan, is the third religious centre of South Punjab. It is majority Baloch.

Shah Mahmood Qureishi, and families of his statius, are part of this culture including languages like Khetrani, Jafri, Balochi, Derawali Seraiki etc.
