1971 war has caused all those tragedies that have befalled on your own family. To your parents, what is now BD was also their native country. But, 1971 has changed that. Now. probably they are living in a hot desert Karachi. I was there long time ago. Apart from the City areas, other areas are deserts.

Pakistan has varying landscapes and climate varieties from one part to another part. some areas of Pakistan receieve annual rains more than 1800 mm as well and average annual rain days are spread through out the year unlike seasonal or monsoonal rain.For example Islamabad and AJK region.
Pakistan is not a desert change your perception about Pakistan

Same like Chitagong(rangamati) hill trac. I do contour with you that pakistan is not desert land like some people like to believe. They lack knowledge about pakistan land scape. Northern pakistan is just Gorgeous.....

yes i appreciate your knowedge...and Yes you are right Bangladesh is all green...My ancestors are from bangladesh (east Pakistan) and my mother also used to tell us stories about the green valleys their.

By the way Pakistan has mangroves forests as well....mounatins, Lakes, deserts, glaciers, forests all combined into one place called Pakistan....(The complete package)
