I think this is third or fourth incident of its kind in four days....Hand grenades are consistently being used on the houses of political leaders and traders. Is this a new trend? If it is, then its a dangerous one and needs to be curbed with all the force. KPK has faced a period of relative calm, this may impede the efforts of KPK government to bring in business and investment.

Well There was a discussion between me and rafael on that that's why I tagged him....Other than that people of KPK have free will whosoever they choose to rule them. But how much of KPK government is responsible and how much of federal government and army is responsible for the halt of violence is another debate.

Well from July to August around 6-7 such events of extortionists attacking the home of victims with bombs and explosives have been reported in media.

@Rafael

Unfortunate. But this situation is prevalent across the country. From Sindh to Balochistan to KP and Punjab specially the rural areas. Crime rate is high in one form or the other in the entire country. You cannot single out KP only.

It is important to remember that our nations share a common stance against terrorism. It remains imperative for us to see a safe and secure Pakistan. The reality is that we cannot have a safe and secure region without a safe and secure Pakistan. Our nations have made a lot of sacrifices in our shared fight against terrorism, and we sincerely appreciate all of Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to negate the threat of terrorism. We repeat what Secretary of State John Kerry said on Pakistan’s 68th Independence Day: “Our security partnership also remains critical. We support efforts by Pakistan’s civil society and government to stand up against extremists. We stand by your side in the struggle to develop a Pakistan where Pakistanis have a say and a stake in the nation’s success.”
