That was a bird strike, come up with something more constructive like how the IAF managed to loose/crash three squadrons of TWIN ENGINE Jaguars without them once firing in anger....as for your cheap shot, LM are still baffled how the IAF managed to crash it's brand new C-130.....in an inverted position.

IAF managed to loose/crash three squadrons of TWIN ENGINE Jaguars without them once firing in anger.

And news of 100+ more being added on to the original order. That's where it's at.

I dont get it , out of 53 issues 42 have been addressed. And tejas is not replacement for Rafale, its for MIG-21.
It s short range plane indeed which is meant for point defence .

The shortcomings of indigenous Light Combat Aircraft Tejas Mark-I, like its survivability, performance and maintainability issues, have been addressed in its Mark-II version, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar informed Lok Sabha

Parrikar also added that the maintainability issues were raised by IAF late in 2009 when design and drawings were already frozen for Mark-I. “However, many safety critical maintenance issues are already addressed in Mark-II,” he said.

The government had sanctioned project for development of LCA Mark-II in 2009. The Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) is the prime agency for development of LCA Mark-II with public and private partnerships. “All the above mentioned shortcomings in LCA Mark-I have been addressed in LCA Mark-II version,” Parrikar said.

Every year HAL will produce 16 Tejas and every year advance technology will be added in all the Tejas versions.

Indian military planners and GoI are aware what they are doing. Indians do have lot of patience.

as soon as both MOD and PMO have made it clear LCA is going to be the gap filler for IAF till FGFA comes all hub bul watan pakistanies are owt to degrade LCA project like bats owt of hill :haha:

what does this means ...... they are realli worried and there are some basic and very potent offensive qualities that pakistani security establishment is worried which tejas has among the few are already tested cpabilities

1.very low RCS deu to very small and compact design with a very high use of carbon composites

2. a very good four axis flight control and mangement system

3. a very good israeli radar with a very potent EW suite and a high off bore sight DASH HMDS & lightning G 4-5 LDP

4. a 4 tonne wepons load capacity on 7+1 wepons station

5. a very feul efficient yet very dependable and rugged engine

6. last but not the least a very potent and leathel package of israeli , french and indian air to air and air to ground munations

and then all hub bul watan pakistanies are trying to say they are not worried but are leaving no chance to downplay LCA tejas ..... why are they worried if tejas according to them is not worthy enemy :azn:

is it false bravado

is it paranoia

is it the sense of insecurity

Listen mate, after your claim on the JF-17 crash, it's not difficult to conclude who is posting BS, none the less, swallow your pride and digest these figures, which are only up until 2003, it shows by then the IAF had lost some 24 Jaguars, add to that the losses over the last 12 years, the actual figure exceeds over 40 Jaguars crashes.

brother i qnd my little brother both voted for modi's candidate, Gen. V K Singh, but now i think that procuring less nos. of rafales would hamper our defence preparedness.
