What's new

In the next decade China will loose its military and economic edge

China became too greedy too soon. The Chinese fell prey to their own propaganda. They believed they were invincible and managed to make whole SEA their enemy, plus India and USA. That's too many countries for China to handle alone. The fact that China is placing their bets on failed states is not helping their case either. The Chinese infra sector is going to be hit soon, mark my words. Their investment is trapped and they are not getting any returns.

Countries with the worst air pollution ranked by World Health Organisation

India rank #9 and China is not even in top 10. This news is posted by Australia who is quite anti China. So you can see they take a balance view in this issue.

10 Countries With Most Slaves Per Capita

Again, INdia rank 4th in this list and China is not even in top 10. This website is runned by Western. Suprisely, no China bashing becos this time they post something true. :D

I suggest you eat back your words on Chinese propaganda. Its more like you created anti-China propaganda. Your insistent only makes you more silly.

Joseph Kahn and Jim Yardley of the New York Times in a 2007 article about China's pollution problem stated that "Environmental degradation is now so severe, with such stark domestic and international repercussions, that pollution poses not only a major long-term burden on the Chinese public but also an acute political challenge to the ruling Communist Party." Main points from the article included:[10]

  1. According to the Chinese Ministry of Health, industrial pollution has made cancer China’s leading cause of death.
  2. Every year, ambient air pollution alone killed hundreds of thousands of citizens.
  3. 500 million people in China are without safe and clean drinking water.
  4. Only 1% of the country’s 560 million city dwellers breathe air considered safe by the European Union, because all of its major cities are constantly covered in a "toxic gray shroud". Before and during the 2008 Summer Olympics, Beijing was "frantically searching for a magic formula, a meteorological deus ex machina, to clear its skies for the 2008 Olympics."
  5. Lead poisoning or other types of local pollution continue to kill many Chinese children.
  6. A large section of the ocean is without marine life because of massive algal blooms caused by the high nutrients in the water.
  7. The pollution has spread internationally: sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides fall as acid rain on Seoul, South Korea, and Tokyo; and according to the Journal of Geophysical Research, the pollution even reaches Los Angeles in the USA.
  8. The Chinese Academy of Environmental Planning in 2003 had an internal and unpublished report which estimated that 300,000 people die each year from ambient air pollution, mostly of heart disease and lung cancer.
  9. Chinese environmental experts in 2005 issued another report, estimating that annual premature deaths attributable to outdoor air pollution were likely to reach 380,000 in 2010 and 550,000 in 2020.
  10. A 2007 World Bank report conducted with China's national environmental agency found that "...outdoor air pollution was already causing 350,000 to 400,000 premature deaths a year. Indoor pollution contributed to the deaths of an additional 300,000 people, while 60,000 died from diarrhea, bladder and stomach cancer and other diseases that can be caused by water-borne pollution." World Bank officials said "China’s environmental agency insisted that the health statistics be removed from the published version of the report, citing the possible impact on 'social stability'".

Why post a 2007 article when I updated you with a 2014 list? Your propaganda skill is lousy. Why not post a 1998 new to try related to year 2015? It will look more spectacular. :D

New York Times is famous of China bashing. China properly only rank 20th in world list while the west will try to make it most serious. They shall spend their concern on India who always make the top 10 list

Because the situation is even more worse in 2014. Any publication that prints the TRUTH about china is a china-basher, very sound logic. Open china for international survey and even you will not recognise your country.

ok, China is probably worse in 2014 than 2007, but we also know India is lot worse than china in pollution in 2014. Of course with slave population 5 times more than china, India is also officially THE BIGGEST SLAVE LABOR COUNTRY of the world. China is light years ahead of India in every regard. TBH, no one will ever take a country with such large slave population seriously.

The thread is about China which will suffer in the coming decade. China has reached its peak while India is still growing.

Don't give me comparisons when one cannot even open Facebook in china. Chinese claims have no value unless verified by third party.

It's disappointing that we don't see India replacing China in this role.
It took China more than 3 decades to get where China it is now, India will get there in time.

Meanwhile people should not be ashamed of their own country. They should put their own flag in their profile, instead of some amrikaan flag. :D

Cheap Turk jealous of China as usual,he really cares China

China had 6,597 USPTO patents last year. Turkey had 83. Chinese don't care what Turks think.

If Turks can conduct their own spacewalk then we'll talk. Until that time, Turks are irrelevant.

For everyone's information, my avatar is a Chinese Taikonaut with a Feitian spacesuit that was actually used on a Shenzhou mission.

"A Chinese spacesuit is displayed at the Shanghai Science & Technology Museum." (Source: China wants to dock in space – Light Years - CNN.com Blogs )

The four largest exporters in the world (e.g. #1 China by using Greater China patents, #2 U.S., #3 Germany, and #4 Japan) are also the four largest USPTO patent holders.

Greater China comprises mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
----------

PATENT COUNTS BY ORIGIN AND TYPE, CALENDAR YEAR 2013 | U.S. PATENT AND TRADEMARK OFFICE

Patents granted by the United States for the year 2013.

1. U.S. 147,652 patents

India 2,474
Singapore 857
Hong Kong 756 (Patent office counts Hong Kong as a separate entity)
Russian Federation 432

These countries are sometimes mentioned by the media as the "next China":

The funny thing is that this third world country is comparing itself to first world countries.

.
LoL, I never got that.

The funny thing is that this third world country is comparing itself to first world countries.

lol, and yes the funny thing is turkey is a piece of shit country which will never have a chance to be a first world country. Little wonder EU borrows a lot of money from China while treat Turkey like a third tier shit African country, a country with no political influence whatsoever, can't even produce sophisticated weapon to protect itself, yet they think they are first world, lol, what a piece of shit.

The thread is about China which will suffer in the coming decade. China has reached its peak while India is still growing.

Don't give me comparisons when one cannot even open Facebook in china. Chinese claims have no value unless verified by third party.

don't give me comparisons when India has the most slaves in the world, a country with largest slave labor carries no value. While highly regarded independent western administered institutions rank China light years above India on almost every major account you can think of, including slavery Index.

Don't talk of comparisons when facts are manipulated in China. Slvaery, poverty and stuff will be much more in China than has been officially declared. Don't pretend like china is some communist paradise.

don't talk comparison when facts are checked, double verified, audited by independent western institutions. China is ahead of India by millions miles, as verified by millions of foreigners visiting China each years. everyone knows india has "freedom to lie" media, especially with regard to China.
