This was the spirit of Islam before the recent viruses that have infected it. This was how it spread in India.. anyone and everyone was welcome to join in prayer as they wished.

I think it is more to do with Indian culture. We are less xenophobic than any other society I think. You even some Aghori baba in one of the pictures. Plus here you find sikhs in temples and mosuqs, hindus in mosques and gurudwaras.

Not exactly, since this was the practice of preachers who came from Persia, Arabia etc.
There was very little xenophobia unless it was ignited by external or internal factors.

oye sardar g bhi pray karne aye hai :woot:

Sir, go to any mazaar in India, any family function, any religious festival and you will find how plurality works... If we have dark shades of grey, we have far bigger and brighter shades of white as well... It's the culture of assimilation based on the theory ...

Sar zameen-e-Hind par aquaam-e-aalam ke Firaq,
Qaafile baste gaye Hindustan banta gaya.

Sufism spread in India....I still listen to Sufi music sometimes while driving ...

When i was in 8th standard on Fridays after lunch i used to go to mosques after school .... It was a half day for Muslims so me and my friends sometimes ran off into a Mosque to avoid exams or a this specific maths teacher
