In Pakistan, once-fringe Islamist radicals are making their way into mainstream politics

Hafiz saeed is a good candidate for PM. Almost all Pakistani support him. He needs to be more active.

The only extremists in power in the subcontinent are in India... bonafide Gujarat massacre planners and executioners...

Worry about your nukes before getting into any fancy hypotheticals about pakistan.

I'd like to see Hafiz Saeed as President of Pakistan in 2019.

These are promising developments.

Cheers, Doc

I think just for one time radicals must come into power to fight the radicals of India i.e BJP and sangh.
They are in power for years they desperately need a match.

Why are you getting annoyed. Just said that paistanis should join jamaat ud dawa and other charitable organization under likes of Hafiz saeed. Few might not like it but this is what silent majority of your country wants.

Indians are forever worried about the poor suffering Pakistanis. As much as they like to see extremists/terrorists taking power in Pakistan, I am afraid this is not going to happen anytime soon, however the way things are going, it is very likely that extremists will become entrenched in the Indian establishment, leading to the official declaration of India as a "Dharmic/Hindu" nation.

Been warning for over half a dozen years now, people just don't listen.

To be honest, the only way a Pakistani president has a chance of finishing his term (none ever has) is if he (or she) reflects the will of the nation.

Hafiz Saeed for President, we might see a first.

The lukewarm response Imran elicits in a populace that has already played musical chairs with the Bhuttos and Sharifs, is testament to that.

Cheers, Doc

Hafiz saeed have very limited following .
Pakitanis never note religious parties or extremist elements. Hafiz saeed is just a proxy of Pakistan's military establishment , nothing more then that.
And now he has even become an unbearable liability for his masters aswell. He is.no more an strategic asset.

His personal secuirty itself has becomean uphill task for intelligence agencies after OBL andmullah mansoor espisode.

No chance . unlike indians, Pakistani voters are not carried away by emotions. We never vote extremist and people like butcher of Gujrat.
But mind u, i dont consider hafiz saeed as a terrorist, he is just a useless asset, nothing else.

Most of them have realized that they've made a mistake in 2014 and now instead of changing that they're wishing the same for us. Means "hum to doobe hain sanam tumhe bhi le doobenge". But i am afraid this ain't gonna happen feel bad that their dreams will remain dreams.

You mean he's an asset whose work is done.

Au contraire, I feel some of his best work is yet to come.

As President of Pakistan.

Sounds so .... inspiring! Aspirational!!

Cheers, Doc
