What's new

In light of recent events, the real reason why US won't leave afghanistan directly from an American.

. . .
By that they keep us in size and in check but that's not going to work for long now.

They have already failed, and now Taliban is showing the world that reality.

They are being invited to capitals all over the world with red carpet receptions, such as in Moscow.

we should keep playing the role of their ally and pretend as if nothing has happened and do what we do well.

Once the ISIS attacks Pakistan on East, Pakistan will recognise Taliban's government in Afghanistan.

There's a limit to the pretending.

Have you seen the type of training and equipment Daesh Khurasan has?

.
It will be an easier fight for Taliban, as they won’t have to worry about political blowback from killing enemies.

War crimes of mercenaries will ensure that Taliban’s war will gain new moral victories and lead to more recruits.

Taliban have won now, that much is obvious.
IMO all these developments are putting Pak in the driving seat!!! Now, the USA has to offer something Pak can’t refuse....

It's not a scarecrow. It's a reality and a deadly reality being trained and equipped by US.

I know you don't see the two front Northern War so let's wait and see how it all unfolds.

My emphasis is not on defeating ISIS, instead on its attack in Northeast.

Pakistan will overcome and defeat them.

Ttp was well equipped well trained and well informed where are they sir @Verve

And how many lives did they take?

Again, points are not about defeating these outfits. It's about knowing the strategy of the enemies and how to respond.

ISIS attacking Pakistan will lead to Pakistan recognising Taliban government.

And it took many years to defeat and drive TTP out. And that was just one front whereas now it's going to be two fronts.

For some, negotiations are only stalling tactics or venues to gain advantage by tricks and delusions.

Has the US ever left a country after negotiations?
Bro,

I do not believe that US will go as far as to abandon Afghanistan in full capacity. This option was never on the cards, and even Afghan Taliban realize as much.

Donald Trump simply offered Afghan Taliban a second chance (a political future in Afghanistan). In exchange, he assured Afghan Taliban to minimize American military presence in Afghanistan and let Afghans decide their future in various aspects of life.

This wasn't a bad offer at all, American assertiveness notwithstanding. This deal would have paved way for a peaceful resolution of the current chapter of Afghan Civil War and political crisis. Pakistan could also benefit from this settlement in numerous ways.

Afghan Taliban can be far more influential in developments across Afghanistan while in political offices and in the light of the fact that they have an agreement with US in this regard. US would look the other way in many cases because its primary concern is to ensure that the AfPak region is terror-free.

Now I am not so sure. Now it is free for all once again.

I don't think so sir Taliban are too strong on ground now sir you have not put this in your equation we should not do any overt diplomatic action sir we are good at what we are doing sir if we play our cards well
I can guarantee you sir we can get our cobras with some f16 and some money
Too sir and why not they have destroyed our infrastructure. Our common man needs to get out of this fearful anger and let the diplomats do their thing there are bargaining chips on both sides sir
