As many as 88 members of six Hindu families fromPakistanwho had come toIndiaon pilgrim visas are refusing to return home, police said today.

According to deputy SPNarendraD, having come on a pilgrimage to India, these Pakistani nationals have for the past two months been staying here and say that they do not want to go back.

They have been staying in the hutment, Jogiyon-ke-Vas, near Gajroopsagar in the district, the officer said.

President of Seemant Lok Sangathan, Ravi Lalwani, said these people, who belong to Darki in Pakistan, had come on a six-month visa to India issued on April 30 this year.

After visiting Haridwar, they came to Jaisalmer viaDelhiand Jodhpur, Lalwani said, adding that this group has applied for extension of their visa.

Narendra said they are verifying their claims that they have applied for an extension of their visa. He said these families would be sent toJodhpuras per the terms of the visa and, from there, back home to Pakistan.
