So pretty much China wants the world to be communist. Where any IP is a public property any every one has a right to access, irrespective of the patent holders desire? It will stagnate the development of technology if anything, why would anyone bother doing anything if there is no incentive for them?

US pharmaceutical companies use the same excuse to charge 10K a year for HIV anti-retro virals.

Do you know what the word Communism actually means?

This "growth" will not last so long as you decide not to be transparent or employ unfair methods to meet your ends. Karma is a bit3h.

I'll worry about karma the same way I'll worry about that big purple hippopotamus in the sky.

.
two things HUAWEi can do
1-file a complaint to WTO (china) for protectionism act
2-sue the U.S government for mixing politics into private business deal
win or not is not a big deal, but making a big noise to the world and it will be a big EMBARRASSMENT to the U.S. so next time, they will be more honest in making a decision :china:

It has nothing to do with IP rights.

I know it has nothing do with IP. But under communism everything belongs to the government right?

The likeliest route if action is taken would be through the WTO. China in recent years has finally learned how to use the WTO's mechanism to settle such things as this (and consequently we have seen the number of Chinese compliant to the WTO, increase in recent years)

In theory, Communism is the abolishment of private property. Everything is collectively owned.

However that is clearly not the case in China. We own our own private property.

China's system is called a "Socialist Market Economy".

So it really is true, you folk will go any length to justify chinese atrocities and related bull. Even if it means having your own credibility shot to hell. As for huawei though, the states really ought to be careful. Because apparently....cutting a deal with huawei would mean compromising on national security secrets to the chinese government.
