What's new

In Febraury ,the export showing an increase of 13.82 pc.Trade deficit shrinks 26.5pc.

Why and how? What Shaikh Chillian logic and formula is the PTI Government going to utilise that it hasn't already?

Let's just look at some very simple figures.

Pakistan's population increases by 4.3 million a year. How do you feed that population?

1. Do you decrease the imports so the 4.3 million new population dies off?
2. Do you increase the exports so the 4.3 million new population starves to death?
3. Do you plant seeds in the fields so all sorts of factories magically mushroom up within the next 12 months?

Also note, exports have decreased for months of December 2019 and January 2020 while imports have increased in the months of December 2019 and January 2020.

Simple figures for simple people.

Yes 4.3 million might be added to the population, but millions of others enter the workforce, open businesses, or contribute to the economy (which is growing itself) in some other way.

Ironically Shaikh Chili logic is at display in the post above.
4.3 million people have not snd will not die by increasing exports and decreasing imports - if thats your understanding of economics then Chinese and Japanese should all be dead by now!

Unless we have a dollar printing machine or outside donors are willing to finance our ballooning trade deficits till eternity - any person with average IQ would realize that a developing country like Pakistan needs to 1) increase trade volume and 2) while keeping trade gap down. Thanks to your choor tubbar, they crippled Pakistans economy by depleting its reserves to artificially support Rs and F-d the trade gap to 20 billion dollars when PTI took over.

Month to month data can vary, what is improving is the overall exports and decreasing trade gap in the fiscal years compared to economic hitmen of PMLN. Honestly, living in the west has not even taught you these basic critical thinking skills ?

PMLN propaganda consumers can't be changed no matter where they live.
Instead of throwing everything into NS account discuss the matter open mindedly because this is a national issue. Let's assume that NS was responsible then why has Pakistan been in/out of IMF for the remaining 21 time??

4.3 million increase in population is PTIs fault. Imran Khan should resign immediately. Bring back great leader Nawaz sharif.

Well done. Nice development. I have given my to do list to make PAKISTAN richer and prosperous. Pakistan need to focus some specific areas to generate employment and prosperity rather than poking the nose in everything. Strategic management also says that when you are in competitive environment with limited resources, you must focus on niche segments and build your strength in limited areas. once those areas are strengthened, you can gradually expand your strengths in new areas. Pakistan has limited resources. Pakistan need to play their cards smartly.

Pakistan until late 1980s was able to avoid chronic balance of payment crisis because the country had policy of strict capital controls. The State Bank knew exactly how much money is coming and going out. Of course this all started to change with the passage of Economic Reforms Act 1992 by none other than your favorite Nawaz Sharif. This act liberalized capital controls, also allowing opening of unchecked foreign currency accounts, which were later used for systematic money laundering. This one act nearly bankrupted Pakistan in 1998. So don't come here and say this has nothing much to do with your favorite Nawaz Sharif.

Exactly this is point which I have been trying to make. The economy of Pakistan doesn't have the capacity. It is stagnant for decades. Whereas countries like China n India and most recently BD opened up to their economies to the world and raced away Pakistan is stuck way behind.

After 40 years, if you are saying that the certain law is the reason for Pakistan,s going to IMF than what were the others doing.. BB, Musharaf, Shaukat Aziz, Jamali were they not in power they could have undo that law if it was so bad, instead of just sit and watch the country going down the hill and do nothing. Were they sleeping? After all policies do not come from heaven.

Two and half years of NS and he is singularly responsible for everything going wrong and the rest well they are fine. Why??? This is insane. You guys are simply obsessed with NS.
