I haven't denied it.hah... proof that you are connected to indian intel.
Seriously?????Congrats gals!!
I hope govt lets women command battalions now, because ‘group intelligence’ of an institution increases when women come on board.
Btw the pic in OP is from officers training academy, Chennai.
Ahem...No, no, no, no! The armed forces are no place for reservations. The moment you start doing that you have initiated a slide to the bottom. The military has one job, it is not a place where liberal political correctness needs to be demonstrated. Only those who are qualified on merit should join.
I have no problem with women joining the military, if they meet the EXACT SAME standards for the men then let them in. The moment you create a different set of standards (I'm not even talking about just women, i mean for anyone- minorities, disabled etc etc) you have just initiated the rot.
Ahem...
Its a proven fact that as soon as women join a group the "group intelligence" goes up.
And....group intelligence has nothing to do with an indivisual's IQ.
So "increasing" the number of women in armed forces might actually help the forces.
Well she is scary , we all live in fear , me and the kids.Errr...i wish i knew her.
I wish I could!!
Congrats gals!!

If it was not about gender then why do you think women were not allowed to command a battalion till now? I know the batch of 2015 will be allowed to take over as commnaders (if they 're efficient) but thats not happenjng anytime before 2032 or so.The whole increasing part depends on the individual joining the forces, not on gender.
Its not as if women who join army 're not aware of this.It would be an "Empowerment" gesture but seeing as most recruits are from rural areas and are men there will be insubordination and slurs out in the field. War in the trenches is a rough thing, urinating in plastic bottles, wearing the same crap stained pants from yesterday because an artillery shell exploded a few feet from you, hauling your wounded buddy several yards while he weighs 260 pounds + with his gear, not for most men.
War brings out the worst in people.
I hate the idea of reservations for any group because I prefer a meritocracy but I agree that women (and all groups) need to be represented in all spheres of Indian life, police, military, legislature etc etc and 30% is too low, in legislature they should be 50% represented.I hope you at least agree with reservations for women in legislatures ...
