It's common sense. If it is CONSTRUCTIVE POSITIVE criticism there is no problem -- in fact it is encouraged. The problem arrives when foreigners attempt to MALIGN, SABOTAGE, and INFLICT DAMAGE on the people -- just like what International Terrorists do.

yeah of course. the hukou problem isn't controversial at all in china nor is it a major policy issue. i myself have a hukou in a rural town but live in the big city and feel no different from anyone else.

May be. But what about the time when need to enrol your child to public school or buy a house in your adopted city?
If you have money, you will still be able to manage it. Think about the millions of poor immigrant workers, who are barely able to feed themsleves, but build those cities for others to enjoy.

I see alot of change coming there. And its always a good thing for the media, paper industry, as bans, sanctions and other tactics to silent the media results in more freedom to media industry in the long run.

We being from Pakistani media have expehrienced the change as well as more power we gain in the meanhwile. Now even the strongest quarters here in Pakistan dont dare to mess up with us often.

Now you being and Indian are pointing fingers at Chinese but you have to understand that your Indian media is no different as 98% of your media carries the policy of Indian Govt, of propaganda and war mongering.

Most of your media is focussing on glamour and soaps, fake shiny dramas etc etc hence your media is saving itself from being critical of Indian foreign as well as internal policies.

see this is the thing: most migrant workers are like myself: under 30, unmarried and no kids. i'm not a migrant worker but i understand their problems since my uncle was a migrant worker in the 90's.

because of the demographics of the workers, this affects a small percentage of people.

and buying a house is expensive for anyone. city residents that can't afford a house are treated equally as rural residents. they aren't going to lower the price for the city dwellers.

No need to be afraid. The PRC knows you well enough to have faith that whatever 'criticisms' that you may have against China would be mild compared to what those who are NOT under China's thumb could dish out. The Chinese government knows your 'criticisms' are not real. The Chinese government does not need to know you are here in order to have faith that you are here more to criticize the US than to stand against China. Any criticisms you may expressed against the Chinese government are merely window dressing or like heavy make-up on cheap prostitute.

Well i do not think the same way, well indian media can dramatise and make a mountian out of a mole.. the media here and we the general public are open to public criticism against the government.. recent campagain against price rice.. the goof up in sharmel sheikh or killings of innocent people in kashmir.. all comes to us via media..!!!
