Tashkrugan's "pairing assistance" city is Shenzhen, meaning Tashkrugan's development is being tied up with Shenzhen, Shenzhen city government officials are being regularly evaluated for promotion or demotion by their job performance including the part with Tashkrugan, Shenzhen put in billions to develop this westernmost part of China and Shenzhen and Tashkrugan become like twin cities.
Shenzhen was developed from a tiny sleeping fishing village 40 years ago into one of the world most dynamic metropolis, this miralce is largely attributed to Dengxiaoping. Some people even call Shenzhen as Dengxiaoping city.
