No doubt. The real point of concern is however is if the leaders of Pakistan will prioritize the loyalty to their country or give in to international pressure.The line separating cooperation and maintaining a relationship built over mutual respect or complete servitude. As of now its relatively clear where Pakistan's democratic leaders have placed it.

That is for the leaders of Pakistan to decide for themselves, and what they can actually do in this regard given the realities of Pakistan's economy. What is clear right now is that Pakistan simply does not have the strength to do anything by itself, no matter who is leading it.

He has on record threatened to not pay back any new loans from the US-backed IMF. Is this not enough of a threat?

I can assure you unequivocally that USA can, and will, work with anyone in power in Pakistan, IK or NS or even the Army. Its national interests in the region will be pursued no matter what happens in Pakistan.

Really? So why has US officially toppled many democratically governments in the past?

None of this, however, justifies Mr Khan’s determination to force Mr Sharif’s resignation and plunge the nuclear-armed country of 200m people into political crisis.

When Sharif can FORCE himself to become PM of nuclear-armed country of 200m people through dubious elections, why can't he be force out?

Even if all the recounts PTI wants did turn the seats its way, it simply does not have the seats to form a federal government.

So what? Without scrutiny of past elections, no future elections would be free and fair. You americans are either naive or just pretend to be.

If Pakistan defaults, it is only a threat its own economic viability, not to anybody else.
