Imran Khan’s Street Politics Sets Up Showdown With Army - Bloomberg

We need stop sending our cadets abroad. There should be a total ban. Sandhurst and Fort Bragg is where people like Bawja are "groomed".
Post retirement gigs are also a huge incentive, many are posted/employed in many a think tanks and DoD run/affiliated institutions in US.

Neutrals won't care as they look abroad for legitimacy which they will get from their colonial masters
This is exactly the reason it is important for IK to openly question the army leadership.
Talk about the importance of the institution.
Talk why this critical institution needs to be in the hands of capable and honest leadership.
Talk about the importance of separating this cherished institution from dirty civil affairs as in the long run this civilian engagement hurts the institution.
Talk about the importance of distributing the power that sits in one office, over to a number of uniformed people (not civilians).

If he does this he will put Voldermort's feet on fire. Right now Voldermort has open space to hit IK and PTI through all his channels and lackeys while he avoids any inbound through cover of the institution. IK needs to understand that one day for Pakistan's sake he'll need to take on Voldermort directly and if he does not lay the groundwork (that separates Voldermort from the institution) for that, he'll find himself hemmed, controlled, dealt with, legal swamped, you name it. The issue is the centrality of power that resides in the office of the COAS. The issue is that simple and unless he makes that thesis he'll find it very difficult to win in the long run.

I actually have zero doubt that if Jinnah was alive today and he made these statements, and many more, he would be booked under sedition and mutiny charges.

Aik do saal do and I think these quotes of Jinnah are going to be removed from our Pakistan Studies books.

Who declared fatima Jinnah traitor?
I have absolutely no doubt that Jinnah was not given ambulance at the time by the establishment of that time.

Maybe the issue of centrality of power is not only resisted or ignored by the COAS but also by those who one day wish to benefit from that centrality and absolute power?

But I agree with you, the estab needs to understand that separating itself from petty politics will be beneficial for them as well, not only from a PR perspective but also militarily.

More Army tries to box Imran more popular he becomes says Bloomberg

The problem is that the entire Military leadership (with a few possible exceptions) firmly believes that IK's popularity and the rising anti-establishment sentiment among the masses is just a "temporary phenomenon", and no matter what they do, they will be able to get away with it as their (mis)deeds would be soon forgotten/forgiven (like it has always been)

Yes. That is precisely the case.

did MA Jinnah ever go Dehradun or Kakul or Quetta. Bloody Civilian. When did he sacrifice for the country?

I hope this is a attempt at sarcasm....because if it isn't, you need to understand Pakistan was created via political struggle, and MA Jinnah was at the helm, hence why we call him our founding father.

I know by the way things are now, people may be programmed to think Pakistan was won and established by our armed forces. In reality Pakistan was hijacked by Generals shortly after its inception

Wait a few years, Ayub Khan will be the founder of Pakistan and Jinnah will be a rogue General..

A nice move from the Pak Deep State! They always have some stuffs to leverage the USA - be it the USSR, Taliban, IK or something else.....

By the by, the moment India supported Putin during the Ukraine quagmire the Pak Deep State got into the US camp - again for the heaven's sake!! And, now their job is to succumb to IK's coming back into the power like the way the Taliban did in Afgnaistan....

"Do not forget that the armed forces are the servants of the people. You do not make national policy it is we the civilians who decide these issues and it is your duty to carry out these tasks with which you are entrusted".
- Muhammad Ali Jinnah

Banners should be made with this quote. Let the whole awaam know what Muhammad Ali Jinnah Ra said.

I actually have zero doubt that if Jinnah was alive today and he made these statements, and many more, he would be booked under sedition and mutiny charges.

Similar to Allama Iqbal Ra quotes. He was the ideological founder of Pakistan but is Pakistan being run on his ideology and mission?

They already removed if Army isn’t abiding by those words.

Muhammad Ali Jinnah Ra really cared about his people and he trusted the youth to stop bribery, corruption and stand with the righteous.

We have undoubtedly achieved Pakistan, and that too without bloody war, practically peacefully, by moral and intellectual force, and with the power of the pen, which is no less mighty than that of the sword and so our righteous cause has triumphed. Are we now going to besmear and tarnish this greatest achievement for which there is no parallel in the history of the world? Pakistan is now a fait accompli and it can never be undone, besides, it was the only just, honourable, and practical solution of the most complex constitutional problem of this great subcontinent. Let us now plan to build and reconstruct and regenerate our great nation...
Muhammad Ali Jinnah

One of the biggest curses from which India is suffering - I do not say that other countries are free from it, but I think our condition is much worse - is bribery and corruption. That really is a poison.
Muhammad Ali Jinnah

Let those men who still have these misguided ideas, let those men who still have these hallucinations, realize that by anarchism, by dastardly crimes, they cannot bring about good government; let them realize that these methods have not succeeded in any country of the world and are not likely to succeed in India.
Muhammad Ali Jinnah

I have full faith in my people that they will rise to every occasion worthy of our past Islamic history, glory and traditions.
Muhammad Ali Jinnah

My young friends, I look forward to you as the real makers of Pakistan, do not be exploited and do not be misled. Create amongst yourselves complete unity and solidarity. Set an example of what youth can do. Your main occupation should be in fairness to yourself, to your parents, in fairness to the State, to devote your attention to your studies. If you fritter away your energies now, you will always regret.
Muhammad Ali Jinnah

If Army institution was a person, its example would be like of those who throw acid on girl face after a refusal, Army will make sure Pakistani's suffer if they ever try to send them back into barracks. Bajwa is just a Product of that filthy institution we call Army/Establishment, until we put them back in their place to have civil supremacy nothing will change in Pakistan, Pakistani's should stop worshiping these thugs in Uniform, they don't do nothing for free, for whatever service they provide they suck the blood/money out of Pakistani's.
