Disappointed? After I heard the speach I am disgusted. What is it with IK wanting to waste his time on the poor, the weak, the abused, the homeless, the poverty stricken, the malnourished, the hungry and then they guy wants to declare jihad against the corrupt mafias.

Can we please have Nawaz Sharif back in Islamabad, Shabaz Sharif in Lahore and Altaf bhai in Karachi and stop this justice nonsense. How I miss those days when we had these three saviours of Pakistan in power.

No, sorry...no going back...this change is irreversible... In-sha-Allah. This speech is written on my heart now...no one can scratch..until I die and my heart prays for his life...

Too good to be true. Although talking is one thing and acting is another, but if IK manages to do even half that list, he will be remembered in Pakistan's history forever. But it's just too ambitious and if other officials and institutions don't fully cooperate, it will become even harder.

I wish him success.

I don't know what people make of Imran Khan speech but to me what he meant was that we have just started and there are lot more goals to achieve and he told the nation we cannot relax.

Unfortunately this thing we are not getting at least in the next 5 years i.e. 2023, but we may get 1-2 by 2028 and later perhaps each city is would be connected by a hyperloop but then no one would stand on the ground and loop up to this wonder..rather would be travelling on routine basis.

Yes it is too good to be true. Shoot for the stars and land on the moon. IK's manifesto would take at least 2 decades to really implement and that is if he was successful. Indeed he said in the speach that it is his dream and he may not even live to see [he is 65 years old] it in his life, But and I think this is why we are witnessing a seminal event. IK is bringing to the discussion things that no politician ever touches on. He has woken the nation and especially the young to issues. The narrative and agenda is changed. And in that sense he has began a process that will go on beyond his tenure and even his life. In that sense we are seeing a revolution in ideas and public discourse. From now on politicians in Pakistan will have to focus on these basic needs of citizens.

And I really hope IK manages to fix our relationship with Iran. He mentioned Iran in his victory speach. I think Iran and Pakistan have significant convergence in national interests in Afghanistan, the region and US hegemony. IK is not the type to brook US hegemony. And Iran/Pak need to seriously develop a solid strategic pact. We are neighbours. Others will come and go. But as you know from Achaemenid times Hendosh, Gandhara and the Indus region have played significant role in your history. And we shall in the future. It's simple reality of geography.

I totally share your apprehensions but I trust Allah Almighty and we should pray for IK's safety and security...the number of enemies will grow as the accountability process starts but in-sha-Allah the number of his protectors will also go up.. The Allah is the Real Protector.
