Publicity stunt and to calm down some of the voices coming from his own institution. COAS is a commander but still the officers do raise questions and it is in their culture to ask on appropriate occasions.

Well, I hope not. I hope Imran Khan will choose a better COAS. I'm not that happy with even Gen. Bajwa. He is too soft while a commander must be strong and hawkish and he should leave the diplomacy part the civilian govt. BTW he was the right person under the circumstances as we didn't even had a foreign minister but now we have a fully functional govt so a strong commander is need of the hour...more like Raheel Shareef.
