Imran Khan’s ever shifting priorities

He said he would provide jobs and houses. Then he promised to give hens and eggs and calves to the unemployed to help them earn their living. Lately he has been saying that he would be Kashmir’s ambassador and make India undo the revocation of Article 370 and lift the restrictions imposed on IOK. Frustrated over his failure to fulfill any of the promises made, the PM has now decided to act as a facilitator to resolve the Iran-Saudi dispute. He also wants to arrange ‘some sort of dialogue’ between Iran and the US to get the nuclear deal restored, thus hoping to succeed where the European signatories of the deal have miserably failed. The PM needs to realize that the real test of his leadership lies in resolving the enormous problems that the masses face at home.

The first year of the PTI rule has made peoples’ lives miserable. The number of the unemployed has risen by tens of thousands. The prices of the commodities of daily use and the rise in utility bills have added further to peoples’ distress. If one is to go by the latest WB report, the second year of the PTI’s tenure offers little prospect of improvement in the common man’s livelihood. Growth is expected to remain low in the near term as the economy is stagnating amid deficits and low reserves. Yet another macroeconomic crisis due to high twin deficits and low foreign reserves is likely to slow down the economy.

Weeks before the JUI-F’s Azadi March was to begin, the federal ministers along with their PTI colleagues in KP and Punjab started issuing statements that indicated the government’s nervousness. With the doctors in KP on strike for over two weeks now and the trading community having announced a countywide strike on 28th and 29th the government fears the Azadi March will attract several sections of society.

The government may weather the coming storm as the two mainstream parties are not ready to put their full weight behind the JUI-F. Another year of unrelieved suffering and there would be more formidable protests against the government. There is a need for the PM to focus on the common man’s problems instead of wasting time on foreign tours.

Do idiots realise that war between Saudi and Iran will be very bad for Pakistan.

We have lost two decades in due to one war on our borders and we for sure do not want another war, especially a war which can seriously damage our economy due to problem with Oil supply to talk about the least and not to mention Pakistan will be dragged into the conflict unwillingly.

The Country had/has the following Problem when Imran Khan started work

a) Government had lack of funds start of term , and the budget was not balanced
b) CPEC projects needed oversight and overview
c) Currency was unstable was falling rapidly
d) Media spread stories about drought due to DAM missing so water planning was the key issue
e) Security was major issue border fencing needed to be done
f) Trade imbalance in Import vs Export existed a full 20 Billion Dollar Difference
g) FATF, financial regulatory improvements were necessary
h) Karachi needed financial package
i) Tax reforms were needed 1000%
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
j) Humanitarian Improvements were needed in-country

Government's Actions

As war between Iran and KSA will become a bigger problem for Pakistan than any of these you have mentioned in this list.

I don't want war in our neighborhood

Common Man Problem?
First of all who is a common man in Pakistan? The one who pays taxes or the one that evades taxes?

Federal Government's Job is Foreign Tours, Economy, Investment Policy, Budget planning, CPEC , Defence Budget and money distribution and Laws

  • It is Job of Provincial Bodies to look after roti and dal

Federal Government gives Money to Provincial Bodies, and then Provincial bodies then distribute money to government workers, Contractors

KPK - PTI is in government at Provincial Level
Punjab - PTI & Alliance is in government at Provincial Level
Sindh - PPP is in power
Baluchistan - A third party is in power local to area

If people want Federal Government to also run , Provincial Government in Sindh and Baluchistan then give PTI vote

Not sure if you know this but China also bordered Afghanistan while Pakistan was busy losing two decades.

They border the sparely populated part of Afghanistan not the problematic part as for Fuzla well

Lol, Pakistan has problems because it interfered or joined those wars. Secure your borders, build a good fence and watch the shit show in Middle East. Stop being a pawn of anyone else in a fight that is non of your concern. Don't harbor any terrorists. And focus on economy.

You guys have an archenemy on your east, why bother with west.
