ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan will take oath as member of National Assembly on Wednesday, June 19.
In a message on social networking website Twitter on Monday, the cricketer-turned-politician said he would be taking oath in National Assembly on June 19.

“Speaking on the budget the same day,” Khan added.

“My address to the Parliament will lay out PTI's policy on crucial national issues and how the K-P Govt will be a role model of clean, efficient governance,”Khan added.

The PTI chief could not take oath on June 1 along with other members of the National Assembly owing to his ailment.

On May 7, as the election campaign touched its peak, Khan fell off a 15-metre-high forklift during a rally in Lahore, suffering serious injuries to his back.

Later, Khan, whose party has emerged as the second most vote-winning party in the recent polls, spent almost a month at the Shaukat Khannum Memoral Hospital recovering from his injuries.

Khan then arrived in Islamabad on June 13 after doctors at SKMH discharged him from the hospital and cleared him for travelling.

expectations are high. as the man took notice of off the merit appointment in the bureaucracy straightaway when supporters raised the question on twitter.

I was actually surprised to know how quickly he made the call to CM and asked him to reserve the decision and told him not to listen to anyone who asks for off the merit appointments.

and the budget presented today in KPK assembly is a proof that not only in KPK but in federal too,PTI will make a great difference as compared to previous tenure between ppp and pmln.

nawaz's face would be interesting to see when Khan would be speaking

No one should have "sky high" expectations from anyone but Allah.

Imran Khan is just one of the politicians. A good man, and honest man, but still just one of the 100s of members of NA.

We should give him time, and expect him to be a statesman and not a bad copy of Altaf mota chor, who relies on creating mayhem, and issues ultimatums every day.

lol when I said that Mr.Khan is God of War,but seeing his past records I have high-expectations from him..I can understand that he can bring about a lot of change but some elements may hinder his objectives and plans.

PESHAWAR: The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf-led provincial government was presenting its maiden budgetary plan for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with an outlay of Rs 344 billion for the 2013-14 financial year, of which Rs. 211 billion have been allocated for current revenue expenditures which is 10 per cent more than the outgoing fiscal.
The session was being addressed by provincial finance minister Sirajul Haq.

The minister said the budget had been divided to satisfy tasks pertaining to welfare, development and administration.

The budget allocates Rs 118 billion to the Annual Development Program (ADP).

Under the budget, the PTI-led KP government will introduce 531 new schemes in addition to the ongoing 565 which had been set in motion by its predecessor.

The minister said that Rs. 83 billion have been allocated for Provincial Development Programme (PDP) which is 12 per cent more than the approved estimates of the current fiscal year.

The PDP, he said, is comprised on 983 projects including 609 ongoing and 374 new, saying more funds were allocated for ongoing projects to ensure its timely completion.

The budget moreover allocates a record massive Rs.66.60 billion to the education sector. Rs. 22.80 billion have been allocated for the health sector followed by Rs. 23.78 billion for the police department, Rs. 3.12 billion for the irrigation department, Rs. 1.97 billion for promotion of technical education and manpower training, Rs. 2.91 billion for the agriculture sector, Rs.1.27 billion for environment, Rs. 4.93 billion for communication and works sector, Rs 0.24 billion for pension and Rs.11.16 billion for debt clearance.

The budget also proposes a subsidy of Rs 2.5 billion on wheat without imposing any additional taxes.

The government has also decided on a 15 per cent increase in the salaries of government employees falling within the Grade 1 to Grade 16 bracket. Moreover, there would be a 15 per cent increase in the pension of retired government workers.

The minister also said that Rs. 35 billion under head of foreign assistance is expected in the current fiscal year.

dont worry, inshallah we will come out successful. but remember as a supporter never forget to criticize the wrongs.. pushing the government in right direction is our duty, luckily we have majority of our representatives accessible through twitter/facebook.

so push them into doing the right things !!

I agree. Evil forces will try to hinder IK.

But he will be OK in KP, as long as he doesn't create too much fuss in the NA.

I may be wrong.

But my hope is that PTI, PMLN and PPP all need to work with each other and help each other to improve the dire situation of Pakistani masses.

I expect mature response from Mr.Khan, although he is a novice politician, but I am afraid of MQM and PTI's further verbal clashes more then PTI PML-N or ALTAF-MIRZA'S.

Also I am hoping that Imran Khan will not forget his constituency and the people who voted for him and made him win from NA-56.. Imran Khan should establish a committee under Faiz Chohan who is a local from NA-56 and should give him the responsibility to keep in touch of people from this constituency and solve their domestic problems and work for the betterment of this area, this part of pindi is very backward and needs a lot of development work..
