The army is really being exposed.. leadership is a mish mash of genuine achievers and Chamchas.. the genuine, intellectual and educated are dropped by the wayside and the donkeys, shoe lickers and Chamchas and corrupts promoted.. no consistency in senior officer standards.
Pak army foot soldiers and junior officers are inspired by Islamic warriors and the leadership are inspired by whiskey drinking, afternoon tea eating, British officers. Only thing is that they never learnt about integrity from British officers.. and upholding the constitution…

I am sure all the Western human rights and pro democracy and freedom of speech organizations and governments are scrambling to voice their outrage over the fascist crackdown by the Army leadership and PDM Coalition on civil rights, freedom of speech, fair trial and media freedom ..

That's not how this works.

Regardless of how charismatic and popular a leader/politician is, the masses will heed calls for mass protests or marches only when the masses themselves are suffering and share the pain and anguish of said popular leadership.

What Khan is doing is necessary - he is continuing to build his narrative, escalating slowly and highlighting every injustice and unconstitutional move being undertaken by the current corrupt coalition imposed by the Army leadership.

The misery caused by the recent massive floods, sky rocketing inflation and a horrible government response is only going to stoke public anger further and that anger needs to be carefully directed against the cabal of crooks running the country right now, even while the necessary aid and assistance are provided to those impacted through properly vetted channels.

The narrative is already there, and stronger every day. But whether it is supported by the mass protests you refer to remains to be seen.

Yes - as we discussed in another thread, the Army leadership and the PDM both have a long history and a lot of experience in managing public pressure.

At the moment it appears that the focus is on prevent public outrage from crossing the point of no control by controlling the media and banning channels and ousting journalists and anchors that are considered pro-PTI.

Social media is the only avenue they have (so far) not been able to get a handle on. I wouldn't be surprised if all of a sudden Twitter, Facebook and YouTube start respecting all sorts of GoP requests to shut down or shadow-ban pro-PTI accounts, under US government pressure to help out their corrupt friends in the Pakistan Army leadership.

Yes - as we discussed in another thread, the Army leadership and the PDM both have a long history and a lot of experience in managing public pressure.

At the moment it appears that the focus is on prevent public outrage from crossing the point of no control by controlling the media and banning channels and ousting journalists and anchors that are considered pro-PTI.

Social media is the only avenue they have (so far) not been able to get a handle on. I wouldn't be surprised if all of a sudden Twitter, Facebook and YouTube start respecting all sorts of GoP requests to shut down or shadow-ban pro-PTI accounts, under US government pressure to help out their corrupt friends in the Pakistan Army leadership.

Let us see how things evolve, specially with social media. It may not be necessary to block social media, if it is assumed that those that are active on them are not likely to actually go out to partake in protests. Such an assumption would be easy to make, but one that has not been tested yet.

Block all twitter, fb, insta, tiktok,etc even youtube. Shut em all down. Sari qaum bas internet pe charhi rehti sara din…..wailay loag.

Maybe they’ll start focusing on real things then ?? If they don’t get nervous breakdowns and panic attacks

Love to see extended bans on all media. Shut the tv channels too.
