He should publicly warn TTP if they do one more attack he will support operation against them. Swat! the operation was successful but isn't it admitted umpteen times without a political roadmap, military solution to Swat problem might be a temporary fix. Thats why army is still there.

You are totally wrong , operations in North and south Waziristan were outstanding from army point of view but people and parties like IK and JI, ANP never worked to have a political setup, even if IK blame ANP for not taking SWAT and define political setup so army can leave and failed to do when he is in power as well ...

In SWAT its people demand that army stays, they do not have any trust on IK or any other political party ... that is why recently Army was ordered by Gov to establish Swat Cantt ...

North and south Waziristan is totally a different issue, they have boundary with Afghanistan, where as Swat does not.. so these people TTP always ran into afghanistan when army does the operation like last time, but peace only came for short time and army was in talks with NATO and USA to not allow these people back in Pakistan but Nato and USA didn't helped much,
So finally now Pakistan army have posts on the border and now in case of operation these TTP rats wont be able to run into Afghanistan ... hence the whole drama from their side of talks just after the attack on army post ...

Stopping drone strikes is just one aspect of broader framework which include army and political apparatus. We are not going to win this insurgency on the basis of war alone!! Although army operations will keep constant pressure and are a must to knock some sense into Taliturds.
When innocent civilians die it give Turdibans hiring grounds, these scum use this as an excuse and as their hiring campaign. I am sure if one's family died in a drone strike they would have nothing but revenge in mind and won't care if its TTP or whoever and would join them for the soul purpose of vengeance, or are they going to ignore???

Only talking with barbarians is also not going to solve anything, any peace talks needs the backing of our armed forces.

All of you jumping with joy must consider that army will / should / must be on-board when devising the strategy for talks.
