The political scene in Pakistan appears to be hotting up, with the cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan's Tehrik-e-Insaf party indicating that it is open to an alliance with former military ruler Pervez Musharraf.
The party's new vice-chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi said a decision on forming an alliance with Musharraf's All Pakistan Muslim League will be taken in due course of time after considering circumstances.
His comments come in the wake of political ripples triggered by the 'memogate' scandal, which has put the country's powerful army and the executives at loggerheads, leading to speculation of possibility of early polls and new political alignments.

Shafqat Mahmood of PTI tweeted 18 hours ago 'I have spoken to SMQ. He has denied the tribune story. He never said anything about considering an alliance with Musharraf.'

I hope it never happens. I believe Imran Khan is the only guy in Pakistani politics that can improve and maintain good relations with India. Musharraf will never let this happen. :undecided:

And why is Musharraf even coming back and joining politics? Has he not done his part of mischief by damaging relations with India and destabilizing Pakistani economy? :frown:

Musharaf is one sick person who has brought countless troubles to country and countrymen. In an interview, Imran Khan has clearly rejected any possibility of making alliance with him and honestly speaking Musharaf doesn't have a following which Imran will get if he joins hands with him. All the people who were once supporting Musharaf are already supporting Imran Khan as they have found Musharaf is "Chala hua Khartoos" and can never happen to be an agent of change.

Not to forget, Musharaf has so much hatred in the country that 10000s of people would like to be suicide attacker to wipe him out of earth.. he was the scum-bag who licked Americans more than they actually had expected and he has his contribution in NRO, the release of ZARDARI, AFIA, Raymon Devis, War Against Terrorism, the un-defended martial-law and has fcuked every countrymen a little.... if he joins PTI or Imran Khan makes an alliance with him, PTI will loose its popularity and there is nothing on the grounds to gain. in $hort.. this is NOT GONA HAPPEN!

PTI is clearing denying the report, But Who knows whats happens the next moment.

You can expect the impossible in Pakistan politics. But nay how it will be a political suicide attack, If PTI does any such thing.
But its pakistan , nothing impossible.

We had already seen:
PPP and Q league alliance
PPP & MQM wedding.
PML (N) doing romance with Sindhi and Baloch Nationalist.
Lotas joining PTI.

in order for IK to win he needs alliance with mush.
besides musharraf was 10000% better than current gov, so might as well give him a chance!

never gonna happen.

Javed Hashmi made it pretty clear that Musharraf will never get into PTI when he is there.

If IK feels that Mush has something to offer there is no harm in listening to him. Mush was a patriot is a patriot albeit he made mistakes that we all recognise his experience will be worth listening to. IK should utilise all the talent available in Pakistan

why is it only indian media reporting about this

as usual, stirring up false rumours and acting unprofessionally
