What's new

Imran Khan himself to contest by elections on 9 constituencies

What’s the point of winning these 9 seats when PTI has technically resigned from 134 seats? They will accept resignation of another 10 MNAs and vacant those seats again?

.
I had my reservations regarding this decision but after understanding the reason, I must say it is a master stroke by Khan. Whole party will be behind the elections and it will create excitement in public.

He is now understanding the difference between a politician and leader. He has realized the mistakes he made in the past and now playing an aggressive inning within the law framework. I think the goal is to push it past November, new COAS will be under intense pressure and no matter who comes it will be hard for him to continue Bajwa doctrine.

Keep handing them humiliating defeats, further weaken their public image.

Time for zardari, fazlando and shobaz to contest on every 3 of the constituencies against IK to show their political stature.

You should be the last one to ask such questions. PDM played a game, IK checkmated . It's not about winning these 9 seats. It's about contesting them, and then leaving them empty. So PDM and ECP again decide to contest by-polls , and IK repeat himself. Actually by this single move IK's respect have increased in my books. Now he seems a "better politician" then Zardari

If he gets disqualified we'll have much bigger problems than just the 9 seats!
And this is precisely why people have been calling out Art. 62 (1) (f) for over a decade. Disqualification for IK and other PTI leadership is entirely probable IF the use of Art. 62 is applied as "liberally" as it has been in the past:

Provisions as to Members of 142

62.Qualifications for membership of Majlis-e-Shoora (Parliament):
(1)A person shall not be qualified to be elected or chosen as a member of Majlis-e-Shoora (Parliament) unless-
(f)he is sagacious, righteous and non-profligate, honest and ameen, there being no declaration to the contrary by a court of law;

Let's say PTI wins the next general election and the one to come after it

Will Imran Khan fix Pakistan in 10 years and undo the damage of 70 years ?

No , and once he retires from politics, PTI will become as useless/corrupt as Pmln and PPP

Mark my words
So, u have made some logical and some stupid assumptions here.
1. PTI wins next 2 elections. logical, on ground reality proves it.
2. Khan won't be able to undo the damage of 70 years, => he doesn't need to, he just needs to put the country in the right direction, hang some madafkers, including those hiding, and things will get better from there on. Btw his 3.5 years of tenure was still better then the previous 35 yrs of noonies and bhuttos,.
3. Once he retires, PTI will become useless/corrupt, stupid assumption generated from the *** without any reason, it may or may not go that way, depending on the 10 years tenure of PTI that you assumed. If Khan rules the next 2 govt and hangs some bastards, and bring the looted money back, then to corrupt the system, without the hidden hand, they'll need ages. With no corrupt authority governing the system, the system should finally work. just need to break the mafia that is controlling the country from the start

.
See his Fascism, he does not allow anyone in his part to overshine him...also it means he does not have people worth to stand for some seats....facepalm.

Pakistan needs some one better than Imran.

His 3 and half years was not impressive.

Pakistan can go on Chinese path might be for next 20 years... Mussarraf kind of president would be a great for Pakistan.... Yeah, he should not do and repeat any blunder.
And u r an Indian
We damn care what u all (1.4 billion) think

I agree.

If signing a certificate according to your accountant makes you not sadiq and ameen, then what about those people who blatantly lie on TV and throw out accusations against others...doesn't that make you not sadiq and ameen as well? Sadiq after all does mean 'truthful'.
