Imran Khan gives new deadline for mid term election

.
Mid term election seems to be a good option keeping in mind the current political crisis.

.
Of course. A crooked businessman with support from feudal lords and shady industrialists would obviously be able to crush a man trying to break the status quo.

The people voted for him. There's no hiding from this truth. Even with rigging taken out of the equation, there are a huge chunk of votes and seats they got.

.
U must be supporting someone

Don't tell me you support bilawal
I know U r not that crazy :D

Anyways best of luck to the party u r supporting ;)

I am not supporting anyone nowadays. I just want this political process to continue so that after 5 years people use their right to vote to throw NS out if he performs cr@p. IK wants to become PM desperately. I don't want such kind of guy to lead my country. He would prove to be an even bigger disaster for us.

I think it's a bad idea. ECP can't be reformed so soon, election apparatus can't be reformed at all, public opinion won't have changed much, in fact, if anything, the only parties who gained popularity would be MQM, PPP and so on, ie anyone who isn't PTI, PAT or to some extent PMLN. I'm sure the results would be almost identical, rigging would still happen large scale, and people would vote in the same incompetent and corrupt individuals as before.

Only difference is, what little political stability is here because of the incumbent government and what little work is being done will be ruined.

You do know that votes in Pakistan are not given but sold? I have seen unbelievable events in rural areas where local landlords came a day before election to grab ID-cards of villagers which were returned after elections. This is the kind of 'huge chunk of votes' and 'support' Nooras are bragging about.

I don't know much about corruption in Pakistan but my personal opinion is that Nawaz is better than any other leader in Pakistan now but Pakistanis feel otherwise.......

And even if there is a mid term election then also IK won't get full majority which will be more disastrous for Pakistan

I know it can not be a good idea but still it is workable, keeping the prevailing situation in mind. It will also expose all three players, PML, PTI and PAT.

That's a common occurrence in many areas, rural areas there's that problem, in the cities it's thuggery, and in the polling stations themselves there is intimidation and physical tampering of vote records, miscounting and so on.

All of which needs years to be reformed from the top down, which won't happen in a few months or years, it will take a long time, one step at a time, playing musical chairs on government positions won't make these reforms happen either. One way or another, Pakistan needs some good few decades of successive democratic governments and peace time.

I did support IK's calls for reform, and recount, I also was furious to see the rigging evidence on 12th May, videos surfaced right then and when the evidence was compiled it was largely ignored. But still, I am firmly against this method of grabbing power and forcing your way into a fragile system.

Problems in Pakistan IMO cannot be resolved over time. This country needs revolutionary changes, sooner the better. I was watching an interview of that conman from PMLN Saad Rafique few days ago where he was openly calling his country 'Masailastaan'!!! Can you imagine such kind of unpatriotic language from a leading minister in PM's cabinet? If he is so depressed with the extent of problems faced by Pakistan these days, why not just resign and leave, instead of calling his country for being the 'land of problems'? In any other democratic country, even India, he could have been fired for saying even less. Yet he is allowed to bash his country with impunity on news channels frequently.

C'mon yaar......u guys are being too harsh on him........at least he is reviving the economy and improving the infrastructure......

I must give him credit for completing giant infrastructure projects such as motorway, detonation of nukes despite international pressure and standing up against a military leader for not informing him on Kargil debacle. But he has still not reformed his old authoritarian ways of ruling the nation. A true leader is connected with his public, his electorate like your Modi. But our Nawaz is nothing like it. He rarely visits common man, even less his own parliament. And whenever he does, people chant 'Go Nawaz Go'. That's the kind of support he has in Pakistan these days. One cannot call him a "leader" after so much BESTI! :D

I know he is not the best but among his contemporaries in Pakistan I would rate him number 1
LOL
