Imran Khan extols Erdogan's stance on US Jerusalem move

ISLAMABAD: Applauding Turkish President Recep Tayyib Erdogan, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan on Thursday said other Muslim leaders should also follow in the footstep of the Turkish leader against US move to recognize Jerusalem as capital of Israel.

Speaking to media after appearing before a Anti-Terrorism Court in connection with cases registered against him since 2014, he applauded Erdogan's calls for a summit of Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) and condemned the US move saying President Donald Trump's doesn't consider Muslim as human beings.

Erdogan on Tuesday said Turkey, which currently holds the chairmanship of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), would immediately call a summit meeting of the pan-Islamic group if Trump went ahead with the move.

He said the status of Jerusalem is a "red line" for Muslims and could even prompt Turkey to cut ties with Israel.

Commenting on Baqar Najfi Commission report on Model Town tragedy, he said his party would stand by Dr Tahirul Qadri if he takes too street against those who sprayed innocent people with bullets .

He said Shahbaz Sharif and Rana Sanaullah should be jailed on terrorism charges as innocent people including two women were shot from close range.

Imran Khan is the only Leader that we love, there is no other leader in the country that is even worth being called a leader. In this case he is acknowledging another great leader of another country.

Read it again and this time slowly. IK is appreciating the stance taken by Erdogan and wants leaders of the Muslim world which also include of his own country to take a similar stance. What exactly did you find so wrong or as you put it interesting which made you write the above comment?

He can only make excuses differently. That is not change that is more of the same with a different packing.

As i said the masses in Pakistan need an idol to worship. You cannot judge his intentions nor you have the luxury to judge intentions. you can however judge actions which are non existent.

a democrat who ignores the parliament has value equal to any random guy on the street who may formulate sentences coherently too

Most people living in KP have high hopes for the future. It is thanks to IK and his vision.

Right now he is on a path to become a new idol.

People have a very short memory when it comes to politics. He takes no principle stand on anything and that is why i consider him not a political leader but a founder of a movement.
KPK government achieved nothing special as any government would if it is allowed to work peacefully.

His party is made up of the same feudalistic system he was against. Irony is the best humor and that is why i take everything this guy says humorously

Only naive people believe he can change this mindset in a finger snap. He is no messiah. It will take take a lot of time so have patience. I ´ll be glad if I experience that during my lifetime!!!

If i remember correct when PTI came into power, KP was in the worst mess and the security situation was horrible. Kudos to PTI(& army) for their hard work that has resulted in a slow but steady change and today KP is progressing in every field!

But tell me which other party has done anything to strengthen any institution in their province? Sindh? Baluchistan? Punjab? Give examples ..please!

there is no secret formula for success when it comes to governance or development. One just have to be fair and honest. the people when they have enough manners to hold their local politician accountable first rather than look at other provinces, only then any change can be brought to the system. the people are quick to throw the kitchen sink at the politicians who sit thousand miles away but dare not ask the ones who got elected by them because of many problems like the caste system or mullah system or tribal nature of the constituency.

let me help:

NAB is the only institution which has the power to deliver any or little accountability. what is the status of NAB in KPK`? It is non existent based on a little technicality that HC has to nominate its chairperson in KPK. With that excuse and NAB in limbo if any person comes up to me and say KPK is corruption free, i would rather look the other way.

The same feudal from the PPP now are employed on decision making posts in the PTI and it will not come as a surprise if IK makes a deal with Zardari because its the best alternative.

If IK claims to be the democrat he wishes others to be. He would have been much active in the parliament and will know and make principle stand on laws being passed by the senate and the parliament. So please spare me the poetic lyrics of his praise.

KPK improved because the armed forces were deployed heavily and they took out the miscreants which other provinces have not seen. As far as the projects are concerned and since most of the other projects are part of CPEC, KPK government did not even bother meeting up with the Chinese.

You cannot claim to be clean if you sit in the company of the dirt you despise. His absolute obsession with becoming the PM is as childish as his claims that change is coming or has come.

The current system is incapable of bringing any change to Pakistan until and unless a clean up of economic terrorists and terrorism is not solved.

The President bemoaned just yesterday that people do not value their vote themselves and they must understand that only the vote can bring any change to their standard of living but that does not mean voting for the same people who have literally stripped you naked paraded you through the streets and told you that they are Brahmin and you are Dalit. Simply because the British favored these pets in 1857.

So vote for the person who you can hold responsible and accountable and not the waderas, sardars, maliks or chaudaries or any status that drags the caste system further into the 21st century.

I have already boycotted elections unless NAPTA reforms are not implemented. Till then I will only say Democracy is the best revenge against the stubborn jahalat of the people.
