Imran Khan today strongly condemned US President Obama's unilateral decision to attack Syria

Chairman PTI, Imran Khan today strongly condemned US President Obama's unilateral decision to attack Syria on suspicion of use of chemical weapons. Khan stated that the issue is being investigated by the UN's inspectors and any action based on the report submitted by these inspectors must be premised on and have sanction of the UNSC under Chapter VII of the Chapter. "Unilateral military action against a sovereign member state of the UN is against the UN Charter and international law and the powerful cannot be allowed to break these international norms with impunity," Khan declared.

The Chairman PTI reiterated that President Obama's decision to seek US Congressional approval for unilateral military action was an internal political issue and not a source of international legitimisation. "Even in that context, Secretary of State Kerry's declaration that Congressional approval was not required was a reflection of the militaristic policies displayed by the Obama Administration during its previous and present tenure in office.

Khan pointed out that Pakistan has suffered from this US cavalier militaristic approach in the illegal drone attacks against its citizens. "It is time respect for international law and the collective security system defined in Chapter VII of the UN Charter was reasserted by the international community," Khan emphasised. That is the only way to protect the global community from intra state and inter state excesses and abuse, Khan concluded.

UN is a joke.

The only UN body in the world is the US Congress.

Spend the money there and you will get the reward. Ask the Zionists.

Then we must never again hear any complain from Pakistan to the UN about the Muslims being slaughtered in Myanmar and actions needed in that " sovereign" country

OR against Israel, another " sovereign" country.

fair enough?

Just wait until Imran Khan needs to raise funds for PTI from Pakistani Americans. Then his tune will change suitably again. Right now he wants to curry favour within Pakistan. This is just politics at work.

Imran Khan's stance has always been the same on the usa policy of destabilizing middle east, it didnt change before, nor will it change in the future.

as for your rant about fund raising, he goes for SKMCH, fair deal if he doesnot speak politics during endeavor to his other life achievements. sticky professional !

and lastly politics is not a bad thing.

In other news....
Imran Khan condemns China for sending a monkey to space.
Imran Khan condemns Maulana diesel for being a hypocrite. (oh the irony)
Imran Khan condemns the people of Karachi for keeping weapons, while going on a hunting trip with his Taliban brethren.

The most money PTI raised for its recent election drive was from USA. SKMCH fund raising is separate from that.

But you are correct, it is only politics. Nothing wrong in what Imran Khan is doing, just politics.

you are again falling short. It was raised not by Khan himself. AND there is no connection between Khan's politics and fund raising from UK/Usa it was raised from Pakistani nationals only if you know.

so again if you know Khan's stance on the destabalize middle east policy, it has been consistent, like most if not all of his principle stances. and yes this is politics, god's game !

The major portion of PTI's funding for the elections came from USA. It was all raised in Imran Khan's name and the hopes for the "tsunami" that never materialized.

His stance on MidEast policy is just as misguided as his stance on negotiations with the Taliban. Totally wrong.

What makes you think that most Pakistanis in the U.S are in favor of Obama's stance in the first place?

Honestly it looks as if you're trying really hard to put Imran Khan and his statements in a bad light. At least IK has the guts to voice an opinion on the U.S' policies unlike some Pakistani leaders who get their spine removed once they become a prime minister.

What matters is Washington politics and the backing, or lack thereof, from Congress, which will be forthcoming after all the back room deals are done. Everything else is secondary, including the Pakistani position, which will follow the US lead when needed, regardless of who is in power. No doubt about it.

Opposition is always very blunt it doesn't need to worry about the consequences. Pakistan has officially taken the position against outside interference in Syria.

That is the only way to protect the global community from intra state and inter state excesses and abuse, Khan concluded.

Interesting.

you are running from pillar to post with no clue what to respond to your earlier claims and rants, say something solid. how following UN charter or international law is misguided policy? and even your comparison with taliban policy is flawed, I am sure you wont even be able to quote the policy correctly.

All Imran Khan does is criticize without offering any alternatives.

Ok so Imran Khan is against USA from intervening in Syria civil war. So can Imran Khan offer an alternative as to what should be done in Syria?
