A TALIBAN terror group has been contacted about plans to assassinate newly-elected Prime Minster Imran Khan, shock claims have emerged.

The terrifying threat against the former cricket star was announced by Pakistani journalist and TV anchor Sadia Afzaal on Friday night.

She claimed that Tehreek-e-Taliban (TTP) local groups were contacted by a famous religious-political personality of Pakistan to order the execution of Mr Khan.

Speaking on Public News, Ms Afzaal, who assured the news was confirmed by ‘very reliable sources’, said: “I cannot reveal the name of that person but it has been stated in a Military-Intelligence (MI) reports.”

And News One TV anchor Jasmeen Manzoor made a similar claim alerting to the severe security threats faced by Imran Khan.
Taking to Twitter, @jasmeenmanzoor wrote: “High placed sources have disclosed that severe security threat to PM Imran Khan. I will also disclose who contacted TTP local groups for planning to assassinate him. May Allah protect him, Ameen.”

This is not the first time the Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Chairman has been a victim of a security threat.

Back in April, intelligence reports revealed that the Taliban may attack Mr Khan, The Times of Islamabad reported, and the Pakistan Prime Minister has been forced to increase his security protocol.

He was recently urged to stop the persecution of Christians in Pakistan, with critics accusing him of being part of the "same old extremism".
And opposition leader Jeremy Corbyn gave the cricket star the green light after Mr Khan’s inauguration.

Mr Khan previously vowed to transform Pakistan into an Islamic welfare state during his maiden address to the nation, basing the system on the British model.

He was voted in during July’s election and his party, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, won the most seats.

Mr Khan’s success ends decades of political dominance by two dynastic powerhouses, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) of three-time premier Nawaz Sharif, who is now in prison, and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), founded and led by the Bhutto family.

Imran Khan needs to stop acting like a dumbass and beef up his security. Pakistan is not like western countries where you don’t need protocol. Pakistan is well known for assassination of well known political leaders.

It’s not a game anymore. Imran Khan should understand the responsibility of being Prime Minister and ensure utmost steps are taken for his safety.

Protocol is fine, helicopter is fine if it saves his life because no one knows when Pakistan will get another leader like IK.

This is bullshit...No way we are going to accept Khan's assassination. Pakistan, tell CIA that if you assassinate Khan...

Pakistan would nuke your ME policy...

For Allah sake...We finally got a leader of our own choosing and he is not being allowed to work/live for betterment of Pakistan? My blood boils, guys...This meow meow from Pakistan must come to an end.

Act brave and aggressive...Fortune favors the brave. Tell them Pakistan would take down Modi as well if anything happened to Khan...

Assholes are trying to use our troubled history against us....CIA will assassinate Khan and it will be said...

"oh taliban did it....afterall, no PM has ever completed his 5 year term"

Pak establishment....take regional players into confidence regarding this matter and send a warning to CIA.

For how long we''ll remain defensive....Yes, countermeasures must be placed but how about aggression?

You assassinate khan and we assassinate Modi along with fucking up US middle east policy.

For how long we'll continue to suffer?

Can anyone guess who that leader of a "prominent religious political party alliance" is?

. . . . .
This a very good question. There are two possibilities
  1. this report is true then the accused person must be arrested
  2. they have made this up to justify the use of helicopter

Two engine helicopter should be used...not one....Sabotage can occur

.
Agree it can be ploy to get more security for PM, which i dont mind. Helicopter belong to PM anyways..
No, they don't have to lie or make up stories. And why would they report give such a clear hint like the leader of a prominent religious political party alliance...which straight forward leads to Diesel urf Fazlur Rehaman.

If PM needs security, he is very well entitled to it, they do not need to make things up. It will be big fcuk up now. Either they have to arrest the accused soon or say sorry for lying. The one thing I hate the most is lying and this is the biggest sin in our religion.

i didnt deny the first one, i commented on 2nd one, which can be true as well.

No they (PTI's PM house) cant increase the security without any justification especially in presences of presstitutes, remember PTI was the one who started to count vehicles.. how can they get away with it easily..?

Uhh excuse me, have you seen the President of The US security detail? They paralyze the whole city just to move him from point A to B.

It’s only the stupid Pakistani media who takes the security if elected officials as a sign of unnecessary extravagance. They’re gonna and they have gotten PMs killed due to this attitude.

Two things might have shocked the international establishment :

1st) Imran Khan's claim to make Pakistan Medina based model state .

2nd) Imran Khan's recent resisting statement on the issue of blasphemous cartoon competition.

The international establishment might be expecting a strong resistance from Pakistani side on the demolition of Aqsa mosque and the future role of Pakistan on international politics with China's support.

Such issues are headache for world policy makers .

Imran Khan should not ignore security threats.
