Imran Khan announces independent accountability cell for KPK.

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)'s Chief Imran Khan on Tuesday announced to establish an independent accountability cell in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to ensure transparency in provincial governance. The accountability cell would not function under the government, he added.
Talking to a private TV channel, Khan said KP had good potential for hydel power generation, adding that many small hydel stations could be set up to generate electricity on cheap rates in the province. He said the provincial government would also utilise bio-gas to produce electricity for Peshawar city to meet its energy demand. Khan said the PTI had conducted intra-party elections for strengthening democracy. “PTI is adopting a policy of tolerance and does not want to destabilise the system,” he added. To a question, the PTI chief said son-in-law of KP CM was a political personality and his party had given ticket on merit. He said the KP government had allocated 19 percent budget for the education sector. Khan claimed the PTI government in KP would eliminate corruption from the province in 90 days. A tough task but still possible to implement. IK has enough experience in bringing honest and just people for the job. SKMCH, NAMAL and IKF are such examples of good administration.

Terrorism is the problem but also the corruption both are the problem and government have to focus on both in previous government KPK had the most corruption after Baluchistan

Thats not entirely true. Good policing and intelligence can avoid a lot of terror attacks but in the end any provincial govt is just a goalkeeper if there is no national policy on terrorism, the type of which KPK and Balochistan is facing.

The provincial govt prime responsibility is to provide security and services. For services it is entirely responsible, for security, it has to depend on federal govt. If federal govt cant stop drones for example, KPK will have to face the brunt of blowback from such weak knee policies.
