This was compiled in 2020. Imran Khan was behind by 4.3 Million followers.

It's 2022 now and Imran Khan has18.1M followers compared to Erdogan's 19.5M. The difference now is 1.4M.

The recent 2022 coup gave Imran Khan a huge boost & a large chunk of Pakistanis and other South Asians also follow Erodgan.

If this trend continues, estimates have it that Imran Khan is set to overtake somewhere around March 2024. Something to note is that this would be 100 years after Turkey's Ataturk abolishment of the caliphate, an interesting tidbit that a Turkish leader (who is the most followed on Twitter) will be overtaken by a Pakistani leader in followers.

Alhamdulillah the greatest praise is for Allah the humans are mere mortals

As Pakistani we are grateful to see Honorable Erdogan and Honorable Imran Khan in our lifetime

May such leaders take Pakistan toward an honest, justice filled societies and Erdogan leads Turkey to great achievements

The Turkish people have rich history of culture and Islamic values, morals value we have much in common

Let's not get into the reasons for that.
Climbing literacy rates, greater technological awarness among the masses, aided by higher incomes for Indians in general + amazing internet penetration.

And India now super power of the world ..yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh... but believe in open air toilet ...

Modi Ji has double the followers, even with the 2 combined.

Not a fair comparison as India has 4 times the population Pakistan and Turkey combined, and India has 3rd largest twitter userbase which also is growing very fast unlike in top 2 countries.

.
Because you have a population of around 1 billion brainwashed RSS extremist hinduwadis.
no

what % of them are even eligible to vote, out of those, how many actually voted ?

BJP got 38 something % ? of the vote last time but have formed a stable government since.

Even from within the BJP voters, what % are actual shakha going RSS ideologues ? .. much less that you imagine, I imagine. Impossible to get those stats.

Why do so many of you insist on persisting with this black and white thinking ?

little wonder, then..

Yeah, but this is also about about which politicians are most effectively rallying their "troops" for their causes using it.

IK's done pretty well there, the Pak twittersphere is pretty significant to his ongoing efforts

Modi's used it very effectively too, but there's obviously a team of PR people working to keep it a certain way.. it's a very boring twitter, but then he's a different kind of quieter personality than some of the others like IK and Trump who go hog wild to get their crowds going. His is also a stable government and not at threat. We are effectively in a 'modi era', doesn't matter if anyone likes or hates it.

Modi still does an old school radio program to connect to the masses, 'mann ki baat', which he should livestream too (not sure if he does)

About IK, overseas Pakistanis (those with means) are also among the loudest voices who support him, virtually all of those people sub to his tweets etc

although i don't think threads must be mushrooming like this ...

i wonder why every time junk is allowed to jump in. why moderators don't keep things clean of what is irrelevant.

someone care to explain?
