since when approaching IMF is wrong thing...polices that force you to go to IMF is wrong..IMF is not the bad boy there, IMF job is to provide equity to memeber states in time of crisis to avoid defaulting/CAD crisis and thus stabilizing global econmy..so why do we demonize IMF, the problem is poor polcies that cause your exports to drop and forced you to go to IMF...

Not just IMF loans, it's about their overall governmental approach, party memberships, distribution of tickets, selection of candidates etc etc. It's all same as pp or noon or any other Pakistani political party ...
IMF loans is just one thing, but he is not coming in power for that also.

They have no plans.Loans and then more loans to pay the old ones. Noon and PP are already doing that enough.

Sensible decision. PTI has to go to IMF for bailout initially if they form the government as by the time of elections, economy gonna go nearly bankrupt so PTI will not have any other choices as reforms and implementing policies will take time .

If elected, he should call an all party conference along with other large stake holders like the army, representatives of the major banks, industrialists, major companies and overseas Pakistanis to make a lasting commitment to paying off the loan in a methodical way; paying down a certain percentage as when growth is higher (collecting taxes), and easing tax collection when the growth is slowing to ease the burden on tax payers. this way our debt to GDP ratio will become manageable.

The larger way a PTI government can solve the debt crisis is getting more people to pay taxes. clear and simple. that and stamping out corruption in all ares of government and the military. this will encourage FDI and catapult economy growth. then we can get cheaper loans to pay back the higher interest loans, and saving in interest payments can payback more loans, and we will be out of the debt crisis in a relatively short period of time.
