i suppose not many want pakistan to be a real islamic state--- as envisioned by quaid-and iqbal
just hanging quaid,s photo every where --is not islamic republic of pakistan.....
You are just in a forum where secular and liberals are the majority. Pakistani people are very loyal to their faith, and most people are able to differentiate opportunists like Rizvi from real scholars of Islam.
I think if people here actually read the poems of Allama Iqbal, their mind would erupt from the contradictions to their own point of view. Allama Iqbal was pro-Ummah, he was also an admirer of Turks and Persians.
Allama Iqbal wanted Pakistan to serve as an example of an ideal Islamic model, devoid of the corruptions of what he referred to as Arab imperialism and Westernization.
