US Refuses to Help Russia Fight ISIS

As expected, the Pentagon says it will not cooperate with Russia in the fight against ISIS. The fight to topple the evil dictatorship of Bashar al-Assad must continue!

In a moving display of solidarity and international friendship, U.S. Defense Secretary Ash Carter said yesterday that the United States will not cooperate with Russia in the fight against ISIS and other terrorist groups. According to Carter, the U.S. is still deeply butthurt about Russia targeting friendly, CIA-trained yoga instructors operating in Syria. CBS reports that Carter: said the U.S. will limit its discussions with Russia to basic, technical talks about efforts to ensure that flights over Syria are conducted safely and, “That's it.”

“Despite what the Russians say, we have not agreed to cooperate with Russia, so long as they continue to pursue mistaken strategy and hit these targets,” Carter told reporters during a news conference in Rome with Defense Minister Roberta Pinotti.

The United States, Carter said, is not prepared to cooperate with a strategy of Russia's that is “tragically flawed.”Carter's comments came a day after Russian Deputy Defense Minister Anatoly Antonov complained about the narrow scope of the U.S. talks and said the Russians want broad discussions on international cooperation between Russia and the U.S.-led coalition fighting ISIS.

Here's a quick recap of Russia's first week in Syria: ISIS fighters are now fleeing for their lives; weapon depots and communication centers have completely destroyed; huge gains against ISIS positions have been made by the Syrian Army.

Yeah, this is clearly not a strategy that is going to work.

The end of Basharul Asad regime in Syria is as important as IS

Interesting title, with the stench of the underlying thought process quite evident. The OP doesn't need any comment other than international geopolitics at work as usual.

Oh, and here is the link to the source, missing in the OP:

Chronically Butthurt US Refuses to Help Russia Fight ISIS
The guy is on a mission to make US look bad. Never mind that he pretty much rendered himself irrelevant. Let him believe that he is doing something for Mother China. Everybody needs to believe in something.

Of course he has the right to his views, but it is his implicit support by those who know better here that needs to be noted. USA will look like it always has - imperfect but awesome. :D

Kerry Downs Another Vodka Shot as the Last of Putin's Security Detail Passes Out

Please note: This article originally appeared at The Onion

NOVOSINKOVO, RUSSIA—Staring directly into the drooping eyes of the woozy, flushed henchman sitting across from him in the back room of a dimly lit tavern, Secretary of State John Kerry reportedly downed another vodka shot Sunday night as the last of Russian president Vladimir Putin’s security detail passed out beside him.

“Nostrovia!” said Kerry as he slammed down the upturned shot glass next to dozens of others atop the warped wooden table before watching his 300-pound opponent, whose hand reportedly shook as he struggled to slowly raise his own glass of vodka to his lips, suddenly sway side to side and then slump forward in defeat.

“Thanks for the nightcap, boys.”

Sources confirmed that, before exiting the tavern, Secretary Kerry retrieved a few coins from the vest pocket of the unconscious man to leave as a tip for the barmaid.

@Beidou2020 :D

Wooo, you got two likes.

OK. Now, three.

. . . .
that settled
about the march?

What march do you refer to, Sir?

What the article says "this is clearly not a strategy that is going to work" is wrong, given that it is looking at only one narrow part of the whole region that is in turmoil and heading for a complete makeover with many momentous changes in the next few years.
