Proves that multi-ethnic countries are economic failures as I have stated on this forum many times.

Even with the downturn in BD exports, it is still predicted to hit 7.5% this year and 7.2% next year. India just collapses down to 5% lol

i am not sure about all multi ethnic but india should have forged a common identity when they had the chance like chinese but instead this bs unity through diversity is hurting india so bad but many of them proudly say "at least have democracy" but whats the point of democracy without food on the table?

I am using my definition of multi-ethnic country and not anyone else's.

My definition is any country where the most dominant ethnicity is less than 50%.

All those countries you mentioned has the dominant ethnicity at more than 50%.

Both India and Pakistan are doing very badly and multi-ethnicity is mainly to blame. Luckily Pakistan is much better off as the dominant Punjabis are nearly 50% of the total population.

BD has surpassed Pakistan in nominal per capita and it is growing it's per capita at 7% a year compared to just over 1% for Pakistan. Please try to understand why BD finds it so easy to grow and India and Pakistan struggle.

Look at countries like Taiwan and Malaysia who both have dominant ethnicities and how well they have done since WW2.

BD has had sustained high growth since 2000 dude and it is now at a very high level(7-8%) and sustaining this. It was easy to catch up and beat both multi-ethnic India and Pakistan and BD now has it sights set on far more developed countries like Sri Lanka as a target.

It will take centuries to amalgamate all it's ethnicities into a common identity.
India was smart not to try this as otherwise it would have split long ago.

I was talking about Mayuryan dynasty times. I think India always had a tradition to divide among themselves and the rigid caste system is a result of that. But this created a situation where it was hard to govern the country and their federal system right now demands that all the needs of their many different ethnic groups are catered without thinking about a national strategy but Sri Lanka on the other hand always strived to have one ethnic group. Sinhalese today are a collection of many different ethnic groups and the current minorities in Sri Lanka will eventually assimilate into Sinhalese like large parts of Malays, Chinese and Burghers did.
