Really india was going 7-8% in ,2009,2010,2011 respectively untill global crisis and now it's improved to 5.9%.

What @UKBengali is talking about is "average growth rate".

It's easy to grow fast for a few years in a row, especially during 2004-2007 when the entire world was booming (China grew at 14.2% in 2007).

What matters is the average sustained growth rate. For China that is 10% over the last 30 years, and look we are still a developing country. That's what happens when we have to start from such a low base.
