Imagine if America was a Dictatorship

It is ironic because after the revolutionary war when it came time to choose a government some of the founding fathers were willing to make George Washington King of America but he refused and only became President to keep the newly formed country together. Also Alexander Hamilton was one of the advocates for a strong central government whose President had full authority so essentially he wanted a dictator so it was entirely possible.

.
Well if the government of today had just listen to what th.e founding fathers said everything would be just fine.

.
The moment Obama takes away our guns, hes a dictator automatically.
Funny how the Second Amendment rights hold all other rights to ransom, no?
Again, its amusing how people are willing to gamble on all other rights solely to protect their second amendment rights!!

Depends on who is on the receiving end. 9% Unemployed population and 8 dead Afghan ladies yesterday would surely have a different view.

You are only concerned by those 8 dead Afghan women - a purely collateral damage. But you are NOT concerned with the daily abuses these women folk face in the religious fundamentalist shytehole that is the tribal culture in the region. Honor killings, mutilation of women, nonexistent 'rights' do not seem to bother you, no?

There is no magic fix to that.

There is no magic fix to that.

To be fair, similarly, there is no magic fix to the mess that is currently Afghanistan, either. All parties have to sort it out, and soon.

Because a monarchy was the only form of governance everyone knew, experienced, and that some to perceived/believed to be a 'workable' solution for a new country. Good thing the man who those some wanted to be crowned was wise enough to refuse to have the new country shackled to the past when while that form of governance worked, it has not always worked for the benefits of the people.

America is controlled by the interests of a select few MNCs. So it is, in effect, a plutocracy already. The middle classes fault for not keeping the rich in check. Just blame Obama and the democrats for a problem started shortly after the death of FDR.

.
America was a dictatorship ???:mps:...............America is not dictator for his peoples but for world she is definitely dictator.....impose her policies, either with threats and by ruining the countries, by attacking on them. i.e. Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan and now to Iran.

.
But most leaders of other countries use america's good office when they need, and call it bully when somebody else uses it.
You cant always please everybody, while also working in the interest of your own country.
