Having experience of being trained in more than 90 countries around the globe, Afghan Captain Fazel Rabi said that the training roster in the Indian Military Academy is the best in the world. Posted in IMA since February, this year, he acted as the mentor of FGCs from Afghanistan who got 18-month rigorous training at the academy.

Captain Rabi, who got distinction to receive military and strategic training in USA, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Saudi Arabia, etc claimed that despite the training schedule in the IMA is very rigorous and planned, it helped the common man to transform to a vibrant officer, who is capable to face any adverse situation.

According to him, the training pattern will surely help the Afghan GCs to achieve distinction in Counter Insurgency Operations (CI Ops) in Afghanistan.

“At the IMA, GCs undergo a scientifically-evolved, structured training programme and the focus is on developing the necessary physical and mental attributes to operate effectively and lead in an intense battlefield environment,” he reiterated, adding that training helps GCs to improve their motor qualities and builds speed, strength, endurance, flexibility and agility.

In addition, advanced training, which includes endurance marches with combat load including the rifle, immediate action drills for complex combat situations, life-saving techniques, field craft and battle craft etc proves extremely pivotal to become a good officer, who has capability and physical and mental endurance to lead the men in adverse situation.

He said that academy administration also stressed on sports and adventure activities to inculcate coordination and strategy among GCs thus helps to enhance the stamina.

It is noteworthy that 55 FGCs from Afghanistan is passed-out from the academy on Saturday after impressive passing-out-parade. Additionally, 10 FGCs from Tajikistan, two each from Nepal, Kazakhstan and Maldives and one each from Lesotho, Papua New Guinea and Ethopia.

. . . .
Best in the world may be or may be not. But quality training for a officer Alma ,a definite yes. US navy seals are given most rigorous training in the world.

Flattering really works on indians. It seems Afghans have started to realise this.

so this afghan capt. is a certified authority in rating different mil-institutions?

He is just trolling with them

Must be 9 countries ? No way it can be 90 ? er ..correct me :P

yea, no way, it's 9. if it's 90 then even if it's half a year a country it's still 40 years and initial age of 20 he be 60. And he has to do other things too like family and stuff.

Also no way he hop from one school tot the next no anything else in-between.

so 9 seems at least possible though not sure why he has more than maybe 3

Are the seals part of officer cadre ?

Yes,navy seal officer is chosen from three services and again they are again given extensive military training.

That is an entirely seperate subject! The IMA is not a SF training establishment.

You are right IMA is not a SF training establishment.I was commenting on nature of training.

Makes no sense to compare apples and oranges. The IMA is comparable to the US West point, SEAL training should be compared to MARCO training.
