There is a limit to stupidity. Racism happens in every nation. India is no different. (fake) Communist, do you really believe that this kind of thing doesnt happen in China? The number of Chinese posters here banned for racial remarks says different.

As far as genocide is concerned, as the old adage goes, people with glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Mao's cultural revolution anyone?

. .
The perpetrators were Hindus from the western India:

Alleged perpetrators:
1) Suresh Kumar (Army no. 173355) Havildar, General Duty of the Assam Rifles
2) T. Lotha (Army no. 173916), Rifleman
3) Ajit Singh (Army no. 173491), Rifleman
4) Other personnel of the paramilitary force 17 Assam Rifles

INDIA: Torture and murder of a woman by armed forces in India

The Singh here is Rajput Singh, a Hindu.

Singh, Lotha are all Hindus ... while Manorama is a Chinese ... :)

Nice logical reasoning you've got there!

.
In Manipur the Chinese Manipuri people have their own army to fight against the Indian army. Also in Nagaland. Now a ceasefire is going on for both sides.

Other than your own opinion, do you have any site/link that says that people of NE think/claim themselves to be Chinese? Until you provide some reliable source.... err.. well forget it .... that would be too much to ask I guess.

.
Missed one match and he was suspended for 6 months?! What? Does that make sense to you, suspending the CAPTAIN of the team. Time to utilize your noggan. :argh:

He was suspended because of his race ... gosh!!! :)
And he was suspended from... being the captain of India ... how sad!

By the way... I'm sure you will have a terrific explanation as to why these racist folks made him the Captain of India in the first place ... we racist ppl are all ears to hear the explanation...

:)

.
^^^ Not suspened from India's captain position, its a private club, but trying to tell these people is like talking to a wall...

BTW here's some reality check for them

Ethnic tensions spark brawl at China factory: report | International | Reuters

HONG KONG (Reuters) - Ethnic clashes between Han Chinese and Uighur workers at a toy factory in China's southern Guangdong province killed two people and injured 118, a newspaper reported on Saturday.

In a massive night brawl at the "Early Light" toy factory in Guangdong's Shaoguan city, a group of Han Chinese fought with Uighurs from China's northwestern Xinjiang region who had been recently recruited to the factory, Hong Kong's Ming Pao newspaper reported.

The violence lasted until the early hours of Friday morning and at least 16 were seriously injured, the newspaper reported.

About 400 riot police had to be deployed to quell the unrest as the rival workers battled, some with knives and metal pipes. The violence was reportedly sparked by a spate of crimes at the factory following the arrival of around 600 Uighur workers in May this year, the newspaper said.

"Some people carrying metal pipes entered a dormitory to attack Uighur workers. But the Uighurs fought back with knives, leading to a fierce brawl involving hundreds," the newspaper said.

The factory was reportedly owned by Hong Kong tycoon Francis Choi, one of the city's leading toy manufacturers.

Xinjiang's majority Uighur population is a largely Muslim group with a culture close to other Turkic parts of central Asia.

Many Uighurs resent Han Chinese rule, complaining they're marginalized economically and politically in their own land, while having to tolerate a rising influx of Han Chinese migrants.

Comment - In my opinion such instances are unfortunate but common in developing countries, but idiots trying to build ideology based on such exceptions will suely come up with some justification for this one... just wait.

Manipur group rejects idea of India

http://ibnlive.in.com/news/manipur-group-rejects-idea-of-india/23540-3.html

UNLF camp (India-Myanmar border): The Manipur People's Army has been resisting Operation All Clear launched by the Indian security forces in October 2003.

CNN-IBN Special Investigation Team traveled to the Manipur People's Army camps in south east Manipur to understand what motivates the guerilla force.

Getting to UNLF is a long, difficult trek, four days into dense forested hills, bamboo jungles, escorted by cadres of the UNLF's armed force.

The operational headquarters of 293rd battalion of the Manipur People's Army demonstrates the extent of territory that the UNLF controls over the south-eastern part of Manipur.

The UNLF controls Ukhrul in the East, Chandel in the south east and Churachandpur in South Manipur.

For the UNLF rebels, war with the Indian army is all about fighting for their cause of freedom.

The UNLF contends that the Merger Agreement signed in 1949 between Maharaja Bodh Chandra Singh and the Advisor to the Government V P Menon, was flawed.

“From 1947 to 1948, to be precise 15 October, 1949, the day India annexed Manipur, Manipur was an independent country. That's how it all began - the conflict - the genesis of the Manipur-India conflict,” says UNLF Chairman Sanayaima.

The conflict shows no signs of slowing down, drawing youngsters like Chinjacha - a former national kickboxing champion - into a bloody battle with the Indian army.

“I was a good martial art player. I was a kick boxer and I won three or four medals at the state level and also at national level,” says Chinjacha.

Strangely, the man who leads Manipur's violent secessionist movement once believed in the idea of India.

“I grew up and I thought that I'm an Indian - when I was in school and I thought of myself in that environment. But when I began to grow and reach the level of college & I gradually realized that India is something different from what we are,” says Sanayaima.

Alienation drives these young guerillas.

This unpaid army is high on morale and can fight for years, making it increasingly clear that there can be no military solution to Manipur' s hidden war.

Same can be said about other NE states. In Nagaland, a ceasefire is still there between the Indian army and the independent Naga army called the National Socialist Council of Nagalim (Isak–Muivah), or NSCN(I-M).

Now do not take those soldiers as Indian army soldiers. NE is now in a semi-Independent status. Not fully independent.

Still, those who do not want to accept the truth, I ask them, grow up baby, enough with milk, now its time to chew the meat.

Also relating to the toy factory, there's more than Reuters is reporting. Many toy factories are closing and unemployment is a bigger factor than racial tensions. Also there may be disagreements over workshare. I reported this already, it is sad and people need to keep their cool. Regarding Uyghirs (or whatever you call them), I don't think that is a major factor as this propaganda piece implies. Most of whom you call Uyghirs a ordinary Indian or White person couldn't differentiate from 'han'.

Fact is the terrorists/separatists are mostly from the Chinese 'race' (if you call it that), and only a few from the Turkish-like 'race'. This may surprise you Chinese people are represented in all faiths. And even this, only a tiny minority have some beef (either legitimate, perceived or unfounded) against the government.

When people are poor they are disgruntled, that I why so many terrorist groups existing in India is not unusual/unexpected. But the PRC has done marvellous wonders in lifting people out of poverty. There is a widening gap between rich and poor, which PRC is addressing seriously. The difference is not as stark as in America, Europe or India (e.g. Mittal versus common person). Compare this to neighboring Uzbek, Tajik, Khazak and you will see big difference.

And just when I was delightfully surprised at the multitude of different ethnicities in India, I too was amazed that China is more diverse. In fact I was expected Chinese people to treat foreigners as 'strangers' but they treat outsiders with more hospitality than locales (except for some idiots). Much better than Europe or ANZUS treats foreigners and non-whites. :bunny::bunny::bunny:

To all indian friends, we don't have to feed the trolls . More you feed them they will come with more crap.

Lets consider this as the last post no mater what crap they keep coming with.

.
Also like to add that it's not the "influx of hans", but the influx of Turkish-like (not from Turkey), Russians into China. Fact remains China's silk-road existed BEFORE these people moved into these barren land. Russia only recently expanded to annex Chinese Siberia, Xinjiang and Manchuria. Europe is WEST of Urals Mountain Range (UMR), while Asia is EAST of UMR.

Best to keep in mind that in life, being too greedy cause create unwanted consequences. Like someone said earlier, it is a basic human right to migrate, the concept of "fixed" borders is a recent phenomenon.

I also understand India's unfortunate lack of land to feed/support her sprawling population. There is a solution. Just as over-populated Europe invaded foreign land, it is only in spirit of fairness that people from highly populated areas be allowed to migrate to lowly populated areas.

This is true if we all agree all races/ethnicities are equal, and all humans are endowed with right to live and prosper!

.
China is more diverse than India? I highly doubt that.

UNLF in combat mode, dares Indian Army

UNLF in combat mode, dares Army

UNLF Camp and Myanmar Border: Manipur-based militant outfit United National Liberation Front or UNLF has warned that the state is soon going to witness a flare-up as the outfit plans to take its war for ‘liberation’ of Manipur into the streets, by sparking a civil unrest.

Separatist leader and UNLF chairman Sanayaima told CNN-IBN special investigation team that UNLF's goal is an independent Manipur and the Manipur People's Army was ready to take on the Indian state in the Imphal Valley itself.

“We'll always try to give a surprise to the Indian forces. Even Pranab Mukherjee, India's Defence Minister admitted in Parliament that it was difficult to get to our base areas,” said Sanayaima.

He also indicated that the MPA was prepared for an urban guerilla war. “We have always avoided direct confrontation and that is part of our strategy. We fight when we want. We fight when we can,” he said.

The Indian army commenced operations to flush out the UNLF from its jungle camps in October 2003.

With a collective strength of 55,000 cadres, the Indian Army clearly outnumbers the MPA that operates with nearly 2,000 men.

But Sanayaima claims that it’s their motivation towards their cause that gives them an edge.

“We have a cause to fight for. For us, it's a question of life and death. If we stop fighting, we don't exist as a nation - as a people. For India, its just an effort to maintain their colonial hold on our people,” he said.

The MPA has access to sophisticated weapons from the international market that include AK assault rifles, M-16s, G3s, grenade launchers, mortars, and weapons seized from the Indian army.

Sanaiyama alleges that the Indian Army is spying on their areas. “India is using unmanned spy planes to do recce over these areas,” alleges Sanayaima.

Therefore, heavy equipment like 30mm anti-aicraft gun, have been acquired to counter aerial or heli-borne operations of the Indian Army.

So while the UNLF is well equipped for a protracted guerilla war, the question is whether the Government of India will keep pushing the Army in search of a bloody and elusive peace?

Or will it use political imagination to remake the idea of India?

Mapping the strife-torn Northeast

Mapping the strife-torn Northeast

Aasim Khan / CNN-IBN

New Delhi: Most of the armed terrorist groups in the Northeast are fighting for greater autonomy and in many cases even sovereignty.

Manipur is the hotbed of ethnic conflicts between different tribes that are fighting for their own space. Peoples' Liberation Army and United National Liberation Front are the two main insurgent groups.

In Assam, the United Liberation Front of Assam (ULFA) is demanidng a sovereign state for the Assamese, while the National Democratic Front of Bodoland is keen to set up a separate autonomous region for ethnic Bodo people.

In Nagaland, the National Socialist Council of Nagalim is split into two factions - NCSN(IM) led by Isaac Muivah and NSCN(K) faction led by Khaplang.

Their demands include formation of a greater Nagaland, which goes beyond the existing state boundries.

Apart from these, insurgent groups are also operating in Tripura, Meghalaya and Mizoram.

Nagaland's tussle with war & peace

Nagaland's tussle with war & peace

Rohit Khanna / CNN-IBN

"The Government of India has no political will and so, it has no courage." - Leader, National Socialist Council of Nagalim (Isaac-Muivah), general VS Atem.

Camp Hebron & Camp Mount Gilead (Nagaland): The rumblings in the forests of Nagaland are growing louder. Despite the extension of the ceasefire to August 2007, the NSCN (I-M) is getting restless and they blame the Centre for taking the peace talks nowhere.

"We have fought for more than 50 years. We think, 'let's try to be patient'. Realisation may dawn upon the Indian leaders," Atem said.

Now, Naga leaders have warned that violence could return if the ceasefire collapses.

"Demoralisation is setting in and this is where the adversaries will win against peace. If the ceasefire collapses, those in favour of peace will lose and those in favour of war will win," Vice-President, Naga Hoho, Keviletuo Kiewhuo said.

And if the ceasefire collapses, the NSCN (I-M) cadres, continuously training in camps, are prepared to take the war out of the jungles.

"Power doesn't come from the forest or jungles. It has to come from the cities and villages. The power sector of the Indian Government has to be shaken and that will definitely happen," Kiewhuo said.

The Nagas are caught in a ‘no war no peace’ situation. Time is running out for them and so is their patience.

The NSCN (I-M)'s top leader, Bangkok-based T Muivah, is openly critical of Delhi's lack of commitment. In fact, the NSCN (I-M) claims that it already runs a parallel government in Nagaland.

"Even the so-called state politicians and bureaucrats don't regard the state government of Nagaland as the government," defence minister, NSCN (I-M), Zarsie Nyuthe said.

They also readily admit to collecting local taxes.

"It is the people of Nagaland who give us taxes. They give legitimacy to the movement and say that they are Nagas," convenor, ceasefire cell, NSCN (I-M), Brigadier Phunthing said.

Now, the question that arises is will inertia on part of the Government of India and the Naga leadership trigger another bloody conflict.
