You didn't actually respond to the allegations of duplicity in terms of picking and choosing which sovereign states, which rebel groups and which terrorists you support, based on French interests, rather than any overarching consistency. If you can't answer this, none of the complaining about people's opinions of France in general matters. If you can't explain why the israeli state can use French weapons to attack sovereign states under a pretext of security but the Turks cannot, if you can't explain why haftar can use French backing to overthrow a UN recognised govt but northern Cypriots deserve no such support against the Greek Cypriots despite their legitimate resistance against a historical attempt at ethnic cleansing, then you may as well avoid political discussion altogether.

Correction: the Turks are actually acting against a terrorist group, not a sovereign state per se (though violating sovereign territory), identical to what Israel does in the exact same theatre.

What France is doing is same as Pakistan is doing (or I should say « should do ») or any other country : acting for its own interests. That’s the dynamics of geopolitics. Nothing more nothing less.

We could disagree (and I disagree too on some points) but it should not be a reason to insult France or French in general.
