HAVELSAN and AgustaWestland COLLABORATE ON SIMULATION AND TRAINING SYSTEMS

HAVELSAN and AgustaWestland on 20 May 2014, at the Berlin Air Show signed a Memorandum to collaborate and jointly market and sell their complementary products and capabilities. Witnessed by the Undersecretary for Defense Industry Dr. Ismail DEMIR, the Memorandum was signed by Mr. Sadik YAMAC, CEO of HAVELSAN and Mr. Ross KELLY, AgustaWestland Head of Region for Turkey.

Mr. YAMAC said that HAVELSAN wishes to provide simulation and synthetic training systems (including information management solutions) in support of the various AgustaWestland platforms purchased by the Turkish Government and International Defence and Government Customers.

Ross Kelly, Head of Region for Turkey based in Ankara, said that this is further evidence of AgustaWestland’s willingness to co-operate with Turkish Industries for the export and domestic markets.

HAVELSAN has experience in providing simulation and synthetic training systems and information management solutions. AgustaWestland has experience in manufacturing and delivering helicopters, and providing training and support solutions. This collaboration will allow both parties to enhance their businesses through the joint development of training solutions, including training systems and training centres, for various customers.
 
Eurofighter gets SOM Tiger gets Cirit

ROKETSAN and MBDA Deutschland have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the cooperation of two companies to install Cirit laser guided missiles to German UH Tiger attack helicopters. ROKETSAN's CEO Selçuk Yaşar and MBDA Deutschland CEO Thomas Homberg signed the agreement. Cirits are in the inventory of Turkish Armed Forces and they are exported to United Arab Emirates. They are offered to EC 635 customers as option.

What are the missiles in the picture above me? The left is obviously unguided 'Hydra' but whats on the right?
