If you can't afford pulses, eat chicken: finance minister

herheheheheh here the other day i bought dal mash sabat black at Rs560 per kg.

at least i would NOT want to fall sick by eating fake chicken :) even if it is for free.

the chicken we are getting is not healthy. the poor souls are overfed with chemically dangerous feed

Same poultry is available world wide. Pakistan's poultry is no exception. You better continue eating daal roti but don't spoil others dinning table.

Being smart or over smart isnt the issue . he is right if pulses are expensive and chicken is available almost on the same or reduced prices then better go for chicken instead of "Daal".

We'll decide what to eat or not. Who the hell he think he is? His job is to bring economy on path not ordering people to eat this or that.

This is what happens when the ruling elite is corrupt, and looses touch with the struggles of the common man. This man has looted Pakistan black and blue with his corruption, this is why his son lives like a freaking king in Dubai. He is taunting the common man and his miseries.

Bananas at Rs200, Apple at Rs200, Mangoes at Rs200-220. The list goes on, and he fudges the numbers and shows inflation at a record low. If the inflation is at a record low, why have basic food staples increased in price?

He is just suggesting not ordering and he is doing his job very well and doesn't need your advice.
Go and enjoy your daal roti. And let me have my karhai and tikka.

Bananas at Rs200, Apple at Rs200, Mangoes at Rs200-220
Yesterday i purchased Fruits from Sasta bazar of Shahbaz Sharif
Pak-Banana = 100 rupee dozen
Indian Banana = 130 rupee dozen
Golden Apple = 190 rupee Kg
Mango = 100 rupee to 140
Normal white greenish Apple = 70 / Kg
Watermalon = 25 / kg
Kharbooza ( its english is unknown to me) = 25/kg
Garma (???) = 70 / kg
.....
I'll update price list again in my next visit....but one thing is obvious ...this Sasta bazar is selling at the affordable price as compared to inflated market price...I give you one example about Banana, which is available in my society market at 200 / dozen but if you move towards Sasta Bazar gradually price descends to 180 to 160 to 130 final price

but one KG toor daal makes alsonst 2.5 Kg when ready which can be served with almost 4Kg of boiled rice thats a full hearty meal for 10-12 people while a KG of chicken cant even feed a family of 4 properly or say is enof to serve with 1 Kg of boiled rice or 20 chapatis

Hello All

"
Let them eat cake" "Qu'ils mangent de la brioche", words of a "great princess" French Revolution

Now come-on man , seriously , that one sentence make my blood pressure so high that its touches sky. Just shame on there mentality .

Marie antoniette never said this. It was a rumor invented by Jacobians.

Another foolish statement by our equally foolish finance minister who has no care in the world for the poor of the country.

Answering criticism on soaring prices of pulses, the finance minister came up with a strange advice. “If pulses are expensive, then people should eat chicken which is Rs200 per kilo because the government has waived all taxes and duties on poultry products,” he said.

The second coming of the famous “qu’ils mangent de la brioche” ? We all know how the first one ended.

This is the same guy who claims that people think there is inflation because kids dont return change after brining groceries

He is correct. Chicken is cheaper than most pulses now, I believe.
