IF US PUSHES PAKISTAN FURTHER, CHINA PAKISTAN MAY GO FOR JOINT NAVAL, AIR BASES FOR DEFENCE: CHINESE

First thing Pak needs to do is to stop the supply routes and air corridor.
Can any senior tell me why Pak has not done this even though U.S
has stopped sale of F16's, stopped CSF and also threaten Pakistan.

If the Pak Gov and Army Leadership have an iota of self respect then the minimum
they should of done by now is the blocking of land routes.

. . .
Chinese state media can say whatever they like.

.
i doubt, china will sacrifice its army for any other nation.

Maybe because nobody in the mil or civilian leadership is insane to make the US an enemy? If you take actions against the US, that will put you in a difficult position which, even Chinese cannot save you from.

While Trump is going crazy on all things, at the time he is using trade as a weapon, (which worked great against the Chinese), you don't want him sanctioning Pak as a last resort. You are earning forex by trading with the US.

It's not trying to be macho it's about being smart. What gains do you have by doing what you just said?

We don't need any chinese Base in Our country, nor we have need of any mutual defence agreement.
Pakistan isn't that weak.
what is wrong with it ?????
i fully support this idea,

this is for their own good, they need to protect CPEC and pakistan needs to do that as well, hence it will take place sorry to burst your bubbles..

May be it's USA game to control Pakistan through China ..

China building a naval base and naval air station at Gwadar is a forgone conclusion, regardless of Trump or what the US. It makes strategic sense to protect CPEC and the sea lanes to and fro Gwardar. China's decision shouldn't surprise anybody.
What's surprising is the US response!!! Is she giving away to China that easily???? Even the dying Ottoman Empire sacrificed the one third of her male population before giving in!!!!!

Lol China will make sure Pakistan will go full teardown mode to call out America for war or even threatening them with nuclear weapons. Very interesting times for Pakistanis who will be like. 'fck amrica, we we will beat you':o: wo wo would wait! Are we sure about winning against the US? '

Its paramount in 2018 that Pakistan and China sign a mutual defence treaty - we will go to war for each other

China needs to build this naval and air base in Jiwani as well as a air base in Gilgit Balistan

These bases will effectively mean Indias plans for the regions to be failed.
While it makes sense that Pakistan and China further enhance their mutual cooperation to fend off any future evil US misadventure against CPEC, I think, signing a defense pact with our great friend China is not a suitable option for the two countries to counter US moves. The CPEC project is indeed a big pain in the US neck. They'll try every thing to stop/sabotage it or slow its progress. Rather than having a formal defense pact, establishing joint naval and air bases will amount to be a bigger punch on the face of our opponents. I, however, don't really see any military action by the US against Pakistan. It's simply not feasible for them in both strategic and military sense. If that wasn't the case, the US would have done that long ago. So the most probable course of action the US will follow is to use of terrorism, turmoil, and proxies (Slummies and Charsies) against Pakistan. The most important counter measure against that kind of war is to achieve and exhibit a solid national unity, which sadly is not visible at the moment. Some of our retired generals are playing a dirty disgusting game in the political sphere due to their blind hatred against Sharifs at the cost of national unity and interest. If anything, these idiots are demoralizing the masses in Pakistan. If masses get indifferent to the national cause, no one can avoid a national disaster. And if the masses are determined then the nation can safely sail through the biggest disasters. The fact is that only gross rooted political forces can mobilize and rally the masses for the sake of national defense. Some of our bloody fool retirees are cutting the very roots of the nation-state that these filthy jerks are supposed to safeguard.

Only intelligent beings from India could've decoded this super secret conspiracy against Pakistan. Seriously, there should be a hall of fame for all the intelligent quotes coming from Indians. Why won't you guys use some of this intelligence to concentrate on your own country and your own problems. We can survive without your input.

On topic though, I think this would be a brilliant move and would shut a lot of anti Pakistan forces up.

China trying to get a base in Pakistan both economic and Security wise is foregone conclusion.

they will push for Yuan to be legal tender in Pakistan
they will push for Naval/Air base in Pakistan

the question is - how will this be justified to Pakistan? is it USA? is it India? someone or some instance will be used as a bogeyman to create this base and once its created, its very difficult to revoke those.

One final question - why does Pakistan want to have Chinese forces on their land? (Same question for the Yuan - why should Pakistan allow Chinese currency?)

I doubt there'll be any exclusive Chinese Base in Pakistan but there can be arrangement where we can allow Chinese to use our bases if it serves our interests.

Re: currency, we have been using USD, JPY, EUR, GBP, AED for trade, why nobody raise concern about it.

I mean $255 million, is that really worth all this fuss? China has put in tens of billions into Pakistan, heck we even put trillions into US treasury bonds simply because there was nowhere else to park that cash. For $255 million we shouldn't be having this hassle, Pakistan should just tell the US to p*ss off with their stingy offerings.

You're right about both the things in bold, actually, the two things are completely related!
For decades you've been making lots of money from exports, and sitting on a lot of capital that needs investment, and all the US has allowed you to do is buy their treasury bonds, CPEC and wider OBOR are a strategy for challenging that existing situation. We in Pakistan are both grateful and fully committed.

China is our ally, the US is both completely unreliable and has been very unreasonable. Still, it's a superpower that we can't afford to mess with especially too brazenly, Pakistan by comparison is a pipsqueak, perhaps not in the region, but globally that's true.
