No, the real problem is people who pretend to be Muslims, who hide under the title of Islam, and have absolutely nothing to do with Islam in their behavior, in their conduct, in their life.

Even if someone who has never heard anything about terrorism still he would consider a clean shaven person more trustworthy than someone with long beard if faces of both clean shaven person and bearded person are a similar

Stop acting dumb and unaware. ISIS claim to be Muslims, they dress like Muslims, so what do you expect? Of course, the typical Muslim image (turban, beard, loose clothing) will get a bad image.

Neither Pakistan nor all Muslims can be held responsible for the actions of some nutjobs. Similarly neither can all Christians and the West be held responsible for the nutjob in the picture posted above.

Life is about perceptions and reputation. Muslims are lacking in a lot of fields nowadays and the great Muslim scholars mathematicians Chemists Astronomists are a thing of past.
Current situation is we are living in countries which have corruption, extremism and lack of tolerance and lack of education.
We cannot put our point of view across without being angry or emotional. We seem helpless in our counties and cannot do anything about corruption lack of town planning.
This gives the others the chance to plunder the wealth through the corrupt leaders.
We hate West but seek their help in difficult times.
Let us be realistic, a lot of good people live in Muslim countries but because of above reasons and some bad people we are not only getting a bad name but also we are not projecting Islam as it should be.
When I say we I mean all Muslims including the good the weak, the ones who need help and also the one who are full of hatred for everybody.
Nobody will fix it and nobody can but us.
The first step is to identify and accept the problems within.
