If the pak navy had a proper air arm capable of supporing a bomber type aircraft i believe the H-6K would have been the answer against the indian navy, basically this beast can carry up To 10 Cruise missiles and has a range of 3500km, the indian fleet would stay the hell away from the pakistani coasts if one of these flew, there entire flotilla would be threatened, if 2 of these went up in the air at the same time with the right air support they could wreck hell on the indian surface fleet. Just imagaine the kind of dammage 2 bomber aircraft armed with a package of 20 cruise missiles could do.

and imagine what will mki and mig 29 will do to them. these thing have huge huge huge rcs and will be picked up by fleets and patrolling aircraft's radar before they could fire their missiles and will be shot down before they reach their intended target.but i am not say they are totally useless.in pakistan case they are like glass canon extremely deadly but extremely fragile as we might not be able to provide proper air cover to these birds

That would be a sitting duck for Mig-29Ks operating from Ins Vikramaditya and MKI from Pune( Maharashtra).

What about ceiling, a long range bomber it supposed to have a very large ceiling, wouldn't it be difficult for fighters to intercept it at such a high ceiling?

It has a service ceiling of a mere 12-13 km. Anyway BVR missiles can go upto 23-25 kms these days so service ceiling is insignificant here unless dogfighting scenario.

i'd rather see the JH-7B evolve a bit more, let the chinese add stealth,add a better engine and radar.

10 surface ships with the largest being a 4100 ton ex USN and rest being under 3500 tons is not a navy. Its a coast guard.

And I stand by what I said, useless threads like these which talk about PN investing in an air arm is utter non sense.
